My personal opinion on uppcs 2024 exam paper:
1. Paper was too lengthy to be completed in 2 hours.. most of the students weren’t able to complete it or they couldn’t attempt planned number of questions
2. It was moderate to difficult.
3. History, current affairs were difficult than last few years. Random facts were asked. Many questions were meant to be left.
4. Science was easier compared to last year.
5. Conceptual geography and environment questions were there which is a good trend for hard working candidates. Though some of the questions were highly factual.
6. Polity section was very much doable.
7. 65-75 questions were in easier category.
8. Around 15-20 questions were meant to be skipped.
9. Most of the students (whom i know)with good level of preparation are getting above 80+ net correct questions.
10. The most important point: I am not an expert in cutoff prediction. I cant comment on cutoff range. But for sure it will be lesser than last year by a big margin.

Everyone do give it a read.. will be helpful for UP special.
Congratulations to all those who have cleared prelims..
The real battle begins now. You have to prepare mains thoroughly to get your desired service. Here are some tips/strategy which i can give. I have already shared my sources and imp topics for mains on my channel.

1. Do answer writing practice intensively. Write 4-5 answers daily. Get your answers evaluated by a peer group or through some daily ans writing program.

2. Join a decent test series. Write atleast one full length test weekly in the beginning. In may and june, write 2-3 full length tests weekly. Whenever you are planning to Write 2 tests, do it in a day. Exam me bhi 1 din me 2 test likhne hoge. Whenever a particular paper is completed, just give 1-2 full length test. This will strengthen your preparation.

3. Dedicate 4 days of june in writing all the 8 papers in exam pattern. Like Hindi and essay on first day. Gs1,2 on second. Gs 3,4 on third and Gs 5,6 on the last day.

4. Follow standard sources. Dont fall for shortcuts and sub standard content in mains. Content is the king in mains.

5. Make notes/ short notes and revise them multiple times. Make value addition notes and revise them before giving a full length test.

6. Dont ignore Hindi paper(especially for English medium candidates). It a low hanging fruit. Practice hindi daily and it will fetch you good marks.

7. For UP special, focus on UP related data, facts, examples, district wise information. Follow govt advertisements and govt sites for this.

8. Follow topper copies for essays. Writr atleast 10 essay before appearing in exam. Make fodder for essay(quotes, data, poem, literary references, scholars, speech etc)

9. Have a proper time management. Make weekly and monthly targets. Stick to them.

10. Prepare general introduction and conclusion for important topics well in advance. It will save your time and help you in writing a good answer.

Also feel free to text me in case of any other query.(see description)
Thank you.

And for those who couldnt make it this time.. start preparing for mains as if you are also appearing in mains. This will help you in your coming attempts. Next year bhi unhi logo se competition hoga jo is baar mains likh rhe hai ya phle mains likh chuke hai. Aise bhi log hoge jo already service me hai. So you have to gear up for the next attempt now.
Hello all,

This is Bhanu Pratap Singh, Rank 727 CSE 2023. Basically this journey of CSE has been a roller coaster ride for me. I just want to share my learnings from this exam cycle. Particularly about Anthropology optional.

Over the years Anthropology has been performing well. This is why most of the people are opting for this optional but due to the same set of material and coaches in the market, Anthro score is stagnating for most of the Aspirants (except few toppers). I have scored 284, 273 in this optional without ever joining a test series or writing a full length.

Through this channel I want to build a community that thrives through itself, practices answer writing daily and thrives through peer evaluation. I had done this during my initial attempts and it helped me immensely. I will also be inviting Anthro toppers from my batch and people who have gone till interview so that we get the best of best guidance on this channel.
