Goldman identified 116 US companies with Mcap > $5B, that are vulnerable to an activist attack.
Goldman analyzed companies in the Russell 3000 index over 17 years and found that activists seize upon companies that are underperforming in four areas: sales growth, valuation, net margin, and two-year stock performance.
