Sam Altman explains why “the great wave” is the most important concept for good startup ideas

“This idea of the great wave - I think this is the most important concept to find good ideas out there. People wonder why startups cluster in small periods of time… The reason is that there are these great waves.”

He gives the example of the internet giving rise to a number of massive companies in the late 90s and early 2000s. Then smartphones gave rise to another group of companies in the 2009-2011 period.

“All of a sudden, new things are possible that were never possible before. And when that happens - because startups can move so quickly - you can do things that otherwise would never happen. Or that a big company would otherwise win on. You want to think about what the next great wave is.”

In this lecture that was given in 2017, Sam predicts that the next great wave will be “machine learning applied to every vertical.” He continues:

“You want to identify this - What is the big tectonic shift that’s going to happen in the next couple of years? And do something that’s enabled by that and built on that platform.”

Opus 4.6 just dropped and it's the most intelligent AI model ever released.

But 90% of people still don't know how to prompt Claude properly.

That's why I built the "Claude Mastery Guide" packed with:
→ Prompt engineering mini-course
→ 30 key prompting principles
→ 10+ mega-prompts ready to copy-paste
→ Strategic use cases for every skill level
→ Recently updated

If you want to actually use Claude at full power, this is the one.

Like + comment "Claude" and I'll DM it to you.

RT @godofprompt: I've spent 2 years teaching 300,000+ people how to write better prompts.

And I'm about to tell you something that might sound crazy coming from me:
Prompting one AI model at a time isn't enough anymore.

Here's what I mean.

Right now you open ChatGPT or Claude, type a prompt, get a response, fix it, re-prompt, iterate, repeat. For every. Single. Task.

One model. One conversation. One task. That's the ceiling we've all been hitting.

What if instead of working with one model at a time, you could give a complex goal to a swarm of specialized AI agents that divide the work, cross-check each other, and execute it visually in front of you?

That's what @Spine_AI just built.

300+ models. One visual workspace. Agents that don't just suggest, they do the work.

Think Claude Code level power without the terminal. Built for strategists, analysts, researchers, ops managers. The people doing complex multi-step work every day.

You're not just prompting anymore. You're conducting an AI army.

I don't say this often, but if swarm intelligence works the way their roadmap shows, this changes how we interact with AI entirely.

The Spine Swarm waitlist is open. Spots are limited.

Secure yours before it fills up.

RT @godofprompt: Stop telling LLMs like Claude and ChatGPT what to do.

Start asking them questions instead.

I replaced all my instruction prompts with question prompts.
