The Few Bets That Matter
I was surprised yesterday to see oil names pump while the market seemed focused on AI and small caps.

Now I know why.

$SLB +4.74%
$HAL +5.96%
$XOM +2.54%
$CVX +3.10%

The market always knows. Glad I shared two of those names with subs three months ago.

Nobody scaled it for decades.

Here's how 30-year-old math became the future of AI:

no. you’re extracting patterns, not plagiarizing words.

Decoding the Defense Minister's Rally Cry Against US Aggression

This speech from Venezuela's Defense Minister, Vladimir Padrino López, is classic crisis mode rhetoric…part condemnation, part rally cry, designed to unify and mobilize. This is a direct response to the U.S. intervention, framing it as imperial overreach rather than any legitimate action. But digging deeper, it's loaded with signals. He's not just venting; he's laying groundwork for resistance. Words like "indestructible wall of resistance" and "deploy all our capacities" aren't empty, they hint at preparing for prolonged conflict, maybe asymmetric warfare where locals bleed out the invader over time. It's echoing historical plays like Cuba's defiance or even Vietnam, where ideology and home turf turn quick wins into endless slogs. Psychologically, he's tapping into national pride (Bolívar references) to boost morale and deter defections, while internationally, it's a plea for sympathy from anti U.S. camps like Russia or China. The cutoff at the end feels abrupt, almost like a mic drop, leaving room for action over more talk. Overall, this isn't surrender talk; it's the opening salvo in what could become a drawn out kinetic mess for the U.S.

“Good morning to all the brave folks of Venezuela…our people, our troops, the true sons and daughters of Bolívar. The Bolivarian National Armed Forces are letting the whole world know. Last night on we were hit with the most brutal military attack by the U.S. government. They've invaded our holy ground, striking places like Fuerte Tiuna in Caracas, and areas in Miranda, Aragua, and La Guaira. Their missiles and rockets from choppers have slammed into civilian neighborhoods, we're still counting the hurt and the dead.

We're shouting this out to the world and every international group: Call out the U.S. for straight up breaking the UN Charter and global laws. Venezuela free, on our own terms, says no way to these outsiders with our full revolutionary spirit. All they bring is death, suffering, and wreckage. This isn't some anti drug or terror fight; it's pure hunger for our resources, a shove to swap our government and force us under American control, crushing the right to decide our own fate that our heroes fought for. And now, it's on us to stand up for it with real honor.

I'm calling on that same fire from our forefathers. You can't buy dignity, and loving your country is everything. They've attacked us, but they won't break us. Soldiers and citizens together, we're an unbreakable barrier. We want peace, but our roots are in battling for liberty. We reach out in friendship, but right now, we're balling our fists to guard what's ours. Come together, our unity is the power to push back and beat this empire's storm.

I'm asking everyone to keep cool and stick together. Losing it helps the invaders, fear is their friend. Don't let them spread disorder or lawlessness; that's as killer as their weapons. We'll prove what we're made of. Stay tough, hold steady when it's hard, and kick off the defense plans we've been readying for ages.

Following our Constitution, the rules on emergencies and national safety, we stand fully behind the decree for a state of external alert nationwide. On orders from President Nicolás Maduro, our top commander, we're rolling out all our gear…ground forces, air, navy, rivers, missiles, the whole defense setup. In tight lockstep with civilians, military, and police, we'll launch a huge operation to protect the country's wholeness, bring back calm, and keep the peace.

We'll face down these empire threats as one solid fighting unit. Honor, duty, and our past demand it. Let the shout of free patriots ring out everywhere: We win because right and pride are with us. We'll come out on top. Long live our fighting nation! Long live...”

The Few Bets That Matter
It’s interesting how easily so many justify these U.S. strikes in Venezuela while condemning others who had similar "justifications".

Without even mentioning the condemnation of an invasion that never even happened in the East.

Always fascinating to watch how patriotism works.

I’m not here to take sides, I don't even have an opinion nor am interested in having one. Just pointing out the double standard.

I learnt long ago that personal opinions are worthless, just like "moral" and "ethics" have different meanings, depending on who pronounces them.

I'm just a student of human psychology. And it's damn interesting.

The Southern District of New York indicted Nicolás Maduro and Cilia Flores on narco terrorism charges, expanding a 2020 case linking them to the Cartel de Los Soles and cocaine smuggling via DEA evidence, with the operation executed by U.S. special forces and praised by Attorney General Pamela Bondi amid Trump's escalated military actions against Venezuelan drug vessels.

Nicolas Maduro and his wife, Cilia Flores, have been indicted in the Southern District of New York. Nicolas Maduro has been charged with Narco-Terrorism Conspiracy, Cocaine Importation Conspiracy, Possession of Machineguns and Destructive Devices, and Conspiracy to Possess Machineguns and Destructive Devices against the United States. They will soon face the full wrath of American justice on American soil in American courts. On behalf of the entire U.S. DOJ, I would like to thank President Trump for having the courage to demand accountability on behalf of the American People, and a huge thank you to our brave military who conducted the incredible and highly successful mission to capture these two alleged international narco traffickers.
