If you’re a start up founder and have spent a lot of time in “pivot hell” and things aren’t moving…
I beg you. Spend 1-2 years just making content.
Don’t think of it a performative. Simply learn, build, post… without ANY expectation of anything in return.
Just create written or video content that helps people learn about the thing you’re tinkering with.
Through this process you will:
1. Build an audience
2. Build internet instincts
3. Follow your interests rather than the money
4. Will bring you opportunities you never new existed (I met my cofounders on X)
I spent 2.5 years doing this before becoming a founder.
That whole period was basically increasing the potential energy for me to go all in.
