Disney $DIS will pay $10M to settle allegations from the 🇺🇸 FTC that claim it unlawfully collected children’s data for targeted advertising
The FTC says Disney failed to label some videos it posted to Youtube as "Made for Kids" a designation that ensures some features, like personal-data collection and targeted advertising, are disabled.
The mislabeling allowed Disney to collect personal data from children under age 13 for targeted advertising and also exposed children to age-inappropriate YouTube features, the FTC said.
