Wow.

Representative Cleo Fields bought stock in a Bitcoin mining company called IREN last month.

It was the first time we had ever seen a politician buy this stock.

$IREN has now risen 63% since his trade.

Up almost 20% today. https://t.co/bCeZPljMQl

$DUOL is now down 🔻44% in three months. Meanwhile:

🔹Revenue grew 41%
🔹Free cash flow is up +46%
🔹Payed subscribers grew 36%

Feels like an opportunity👌

Why I own $DUOL since 2024 and believe we're still early👇

I invest in $DUOL for what it is today, but even more so for what it’s becoming: a one-of-a-kind EdTech platform with global scale, strong execution, and great potential. Let me explain.

1 - A platform in the making
$DUOL started with languages. Then came music, math, and chess. Each built in-house, applying the same formula:
• Fun and gamified
• Data-driven
• High engagement

And there’s still so much room left to expand into other fields:
• Science
• Coding
• History
• Professional certifications
• Partnerships with schools or universities

From $DUOL latest shareholder letter:

“We believe we can become the preeminent learning platform for most things that you learn outside of school.”

$DUOL is not just a language app, it’s a consumer learning engine.

2 - Numbers do the talking
Execution so far has been stellar:

• Monthly active users grew at a 35% CAGR since 2020

• Daily actives now make up 37% of MAUs, up from 23% in 2020

• Quarterly subscription revenue jumped from $22M (Q2 2020) → $211M (Q2 2025)

• Conversion rate (free → paid) more than doubled over 5 years

• Duolingo Max, their premium AI-powered tier, is gaining traction fast

The flywheel is working and I think we're still early.

3 - AI isn’t a threat, it’s an accelerant
Some say “AI will replace Duolingo.” I think that’s nonsense. You don’t build an ecosystem like $DUOL overnight. And you don’t learn with the same joy or stickiness using a cold chatbot.

In reality, AI is fueling $DUOL growth:
They use GPT-4 to power in-app roleplay and tutoring. They’ve automated content creation, speeding up new course launches. AI helps them personalize learning paths and improve retention.

From Q1 2025:
“AI enables us to scale content creation faster than ever before.”

So instead of being disrupted by AI, $DUOL is one of the few actually deploying it at scale to improve the user experience.

4 - The brand moat is real
In a world of infinite AI tools, brand matters more than ever. $DUOL brand is:
• Instantly recognizable
• Loved by users (and not just for the memes)
• Driving organic growth: ~90% of new users come without paid marketing

It’s consistently the #1 education app globally and has one of the most engaged user bases in all of consumer tech. That kind of mindshare is incredibly hard to copy.

5 - Final thoughts
So that's why I own $DUOL. They’ve built a world-class product, proven they can expand into new verticals, and continue to deliver strong growth, all while staying capital efficient.

If they keep executing, I believe $DUOL can become the default global platform for self-directed learning. And in that scenario, I think we’re still early.

Thanks for reading! I hope you found this useful. Should I do more of these write-ups?

It’s also just not accurate lol. There were multiple purchases that should be on this list and Option Exercises and Proposed Sales shouldn’t be

I love that this pic is making rounds. Newsflash morons execs usually have enough stock they don’t typically buy and usually they do sell https://t.co/U9NcEzAUQ5
