Bernstein maintains a Market Perform on $ETSY with a $45 target after a 25% run-up, noting momentum around its 3-part growth plan: better product discoverability, stronger personalization, and a more app-centric experience. After hosting CEO Josh Silverman and CFO Lanny Baker at their Strategic Decisions Conference, Bernstein said Etsy is “casting a wider net, with data,” shifting from past reliance on prior purchases to more real-time signals in search and engagement. That evolution is key, but “it doesn’t seem easy either,” and the firm is still “awaiting proof points on the impact.”

It's wild that there still hasn't been any media coverage of this.

Near the start of the year, we started sounding the alarm that many members of Congress were buying Palantir stock for the first time.

It was unlike anything we'd ever seen.

Members of committees on Homeland Security, Armed Services, Counterterrorism and Intelligence all filed purchases in the span of a week.

Massive contracts to Palantir have been announced since then.

The stock has risen over 70% since many of the purchases were made.

I’ve been posting updates on these trade for months, as the price has continued to rise, but still haven’t seen any of the big outlets covering it.

You can follow along here for updates on new congressional stock trades, or check out the Quiver site to track for yourself.

David Sacks on what "winning" the AI race looks like for the US and China 🇺🇸🇨🇳

-- Mass adoption of their tech stack (80-90% market share)

-- Achieving an advantage so decisive that they cannot be leapfrogged back

@Jason:

"If China wins the AI race, what does it mean to win?"

@DavidSacks:

"To me, it would mean that they achieve a decisive advantage in AI such that we can't leapfrog them back."

"An example of this might be something like 5G, where Huawei leapfrogged us, got to 5G first, and disseminated it through the world."

"This is where we have to change our mindset towards diffusion."

"I would define winning as the whole world consolidates around the American tech stack."

"They use American hardware in data centers that are fundamentally powered by American technology."

"Just look at market share. If we have like 80 to 90% market share, that's winning."

"If (China) has 80% market share, then we're in big trouble."

Byron Allen’s Allen Media has hired Moelis to explore selling its 28 local TV stations—acquired for over $1B—to reduce its $1.5B debt load, Bloomberg reports. Allen says he’s received “numerous inquiries and written offers” and sees now as the time to realize returns. Proceeds from any sales would help deleverage amid cost cuts and FCC talk of potential deregulation in station ownership rules.
