During a live show in Miami, the besties discussed Elon's talent acquisition strategy with Antonio Gracias.
They broke down how @elonmusk is able to recruit talented, ambitious engineers like "Big Balls" and the @DOGE team:
1) Responding opportunistically to tweets and emails
@Jason: " He responds to emails or tweets. People will say like, 'I have a solution to this.' And then I've been CC'd on messages where he sends them to the right person."
2) No credentialism: Not focused on credentials, only "can they solve this problem?"
@Jason: " And I think he's very opportunistic and doesn't prejudge where you went to school and what your credentials are."
3) Having "otherworldly" missions and goals
@chamath: " He's the only one that when you walk in the room he says, 'Here's this mission.' And it is so generally otherworldly, nobody else can really say that."
Ex: autonomous robots, self-driving cars, getting to mars, helping solve the debt crisis, Neuralink, Starlink, etc.

Antonio Gracias Details DOGE Findings: Illegal Immigrants VOTING in US Elections

" We've sampled a handful of states. And in those handful of states, we found people registered to vote. And we have found people who actually voted."
" They illegally secured social security numbers through the process we talked about last time, asylum, or some special program, or whatever."
" And they registered to vote and they actually voted in 2020 and/or 2024."
" Three have been arrested and one has been indicted."
" The one we indicted, I want to just stop on this guy for a minute."
"He's an Iraqi National. He voted in 2020 in New York."
"He went to prison for shooting somebody. Shot some guy's hand off."
"(He) has charged, if I remember correctly, $160 or $170,000 of benefits through Medicaid."
"And (he) is, we think, now in Iraq because he's active on his Facebook page and the IP address is from Iraq."

" Here's the reality. Every vote that is cast illegally in America nullifies the vote of an American citizen."
"It is your constitutional right to vote in America."
"And if we don't have a zero-defect system, we are violating your constitutional rights."

HOUSE ADVANCES TRUMP'S ‘BIG BEAUTIFUL BILL’
After 22 hours of negotiations, the House Rules Committee cleared Trump's $4T tax and spending bill for a floor vote. It includes SALT cap raised to $40K, Trump tax cut extensions, new Medicaid work rules, and major deficit projections. Vote expected before Memorial Day.
