Talking to founders in person is way more effective than talking to them via Zoom. @APatelThompson hypothesized (during in-person office hours) that it's because Zoom calls are "transactional." They're not as good for far-ranging speculative discussions.

1/3 Google acquired DeepMind for >$500 Mn in 2014.
DeepMind Revenue in 2020 was $1.13 Bn (vs $361 Mn in 2019). It also posted $60 Mn profit and had ~1k employees in 2020.
I became curious about DeepMind after listening to Demis Hassabis' interview on Lex Fridman podcast.

The last time the world ended, it was springtime.
We don't know the year, or even the million-year span in which it happened. But it was spring in the Northern Hemisphere.
That was when the Chicxulub meteor hit the Earth, killing all non-avian dinosaurs. https://t.co/f4DwGDRHSp https://t.co/UgHkSqLQcA
