Very strong headwinds for any company producing low/mid-quality ML training data.
LLMs now quickly & flexibly produce high-quality synthetic data for training:
- Information retrieval ranking models
- Instruction fine-tuned LLMs
- CoT fine-tuned LLMs
- RL on LLMs (RLAIF)
- etc.
