RT @TinInvestor: This 👇

S&P materials weighting is 2.4% and even that is mostly a bunch of chemical cos

You can count on one hand the number of mining companies in the index

Though maybe it’s a tree falling in the forest and we never get fund flows because index huggers don’t have to own them

Fascinating to see how the S&P 500 has shifted sector weighting over time.

Take a look at Energy & Materials.

During the 1970s Inflationary Regime, Energy & Materials comprised 30%+ of the S&P 500.

Today, it's 6%.

What happens if fund flows shift again?

$PLTR This time last year we shared the $PLTR long term PT’s

It has moved a lot faster than expected which is always a good complaint

But still a lot more to go

+200% gain so far

$PLTR wins and it has been a favourite of mine for a long time.

Only issue with charting $PLTR long term is that it has only been on the exchange since November 2020. That being said, I can see a corrective wave and I've assessed its fundamentals on a 5 year projection.

This may seem conservative but this is considering their earnings growth and their own 5 year projections.

If they can develop a platform for small to medium businesses, then these targets could be multiples of what I have shown. Likewise, if they form a partnership with a Mega Cap Tech stock ($AAPL) their earnings potential could be profound too, for now, we'll go with expected growth.
