$BABA was indeed forgotten.
Today's move could have been anticipated, but it's done now, so what's the next step 👀?

Hey @rauchg I flew all the way to SF for the World's Shortest Hackathon back in January last year. I have won 5+ hackathons when I was in school, won the Anthropic Developer challenge and have launched two startups with Next.js as part of my stack (https://t.co/JpwrqvXyMN and https://t.co/Y7XOl8UbGv) that both have real users, one of which is profitable. I spend almost every day trying to get better and learn something new.
I'm applying for the CI/CD SWE role at Vercel and would love if you would give me a chance to interview. I'm from a small town of 1,200 people and have fought tooth and nail to learn the things needed to get to where I am today. I know that I'd be able to provide a ton of value to Vercel but just need the chance to prove it.
Not sure if you'll see this but hey, screw it :) - Goose 🪿tweet

$BABA Qwen & its AI app is seeing large downloads.
If Alibaba successfully monetizes its LLMs in China, it’swe're talking abotu a market ~3x larger than any U.S. player, with less competition.
"Alibaba Cloud, the company's cloud computing unit, reported that downloads of the Qwen model family surpassed 700 million on the Hugging Face developer platform as of January.
The report shows Qwen downloads in December alone exceeded the combined total of the next eight most popular models on the platform.
Alibaba has also expanded Qwen into consumer-facing products, including the Qwen AI assistant, the Quark app, and Ant Group's health application A-Fu."
You’re not bullish enough.

🚨Just in: $BABA is building its own “everything AI app” powered by its in-house model, Qwen.
This app should be fully AI-powered and integrate all features of Chinese super-aps, with similar ambition to American companies but much bigger potential due to this centralisation.
Chinese super apps already include social media, e-commerce, banking, entertainment & more. This gives $BABA access to more data & agentic capabilities than what can be done in the west with a decentralised ecosystem.
The focus is the same though: to tap on consumers and build profitable B2C AI services and not only monetize their AI models and capacities through compute usage or API calls.
As a reminder, Qwen is widely used aronud the enterprise world and known as one of the best opened source AI model. - The Few Bets That Mattertweet

$BABA is also pushing higher on some regulatory news.
China regulators are pushing on food-delivery price wars, hitting on "unfair" competition which could be a net positive for the big players who already own the market.
Less competition, higher to stable margins, less pricing wars.

If $NBIS closes like this, we're officially back in uptrend.
Who doubted this? Many...
Not me, and I've had and shared my confidence, with clear arguments, to continue buying 👇

I am still a buyer for a few handful reasons.
1. I believe the FED needs to continue to cut rates, and will in December.
https://t.co/5joU9HUnh1
2. I believe in AI and that $NVDA isn't a fraud, and the data backs me up.
https://t.co/jvzeGM3kwY
3. $TMDX is more than 30% of my portfolio, a recession and AI proof business unaffected by rate cuts, so even if the rest of the market falls liquidity should go towards those kinds of assets.
https://t.co/5ZqknmvPVz
4. Fiscal spending isn't and will not slow down during the next years and the only protection against this is assets, and this is also why I dobuled my $BTC weekly DCA.
That being said, the market is taking a hit and it won't recover from this in a few days with a V shape recovery like post liberation day as we do not have comparable catalysts before EOY.
So I am being prudent and slow in my purchases. There is no rush in today's market, you don't need to catch falling knifes, you just need to wait and be patient.
The few percentage point won by catching a bottom compared to following a trend aren't worth the risk. - The Few Bets That Mattertweet

This algorithm change is a massacre.
Content quality has not improved. And small creators are now effectively cut off from their own subscriber base with absurdly low reach, regardless of content's quality.
The algorithm decides what to push or not based on a very small & early sample that is most of the time not representative of global interest.
If I have 10k followers and my post is initially shown to 500 people who are not interested - and that is what happens based on my own stats, the algorithm concludes the content is not worth pushing further.
Less than 10% of your follower base decides of the fate of your post. And that's meant to improve content quality?
What gets pushed today is content that generates engagement fast, from a small portion of users, and X management assumes that this content is quality content.
What other kind of content could generate interest rapidly but quality? Cmon, we're on X, only quality matters here!
My ass.
Most aren't here for quality, and reducing reach won't boost quality either way, far from it, it'll just arbitrarily push the posts which do well in the first 10min on a small user base. And those are rarely qualitative.
What takes off isn’t quality, it’s whatever triggers quick reactions. Everything else is muted, not just lost in the flow of fast consumed content: muted. By design.
It's really motivating. Great job.

$LULU's management shared they were expecting their Q4-25 to be on the high end of their guidance.
Glad I bought last week.
"Based on our performance over the holiday period, we expect to achieve the higher end of our previously communicated fourth quarter net revenue and EPS guidance. We remain focused on executing our action plan to drive improvement in our U.S. business and look forward to the opportunities in front of us."
