Talking to founders in person is way more effective than talking to them via Zoom. @APatelThompson hypothesized (during in-person office hours) that it's because Zoom calls are "transactional." They're not as good for far-ranging speculative discussions.

DeepMind Revenue in 2020 was $1.13 Bn (vs $361 Mn in 2019). It also posted $60 Mn profit and had ~1k employees in 2020.

I became curious about DeepMind after listening to Demis Hassabis' interview on Lex Fridman podcast.

I wish I could get as excited about anything I read now as I used to get about science fiction novels when I was 15. Books like The Moon is Harsh Mistress and Foundation used to take over my brain completely. It was like living in the future.
