I sometimes wonder why we have so much rules protecting people from their own stupidity & laziness.

With it we are encouraging the wrong thing.

How online ratings help those who already are winning keep winning: high ratings for a product, service or shop attract more high ratings.

Anything with few reviews will have a lower average rating than it deserves. This makes it harder for newcomers to beak into the rankings. https://t.co/p7lETlGJc8

$VCP.L shares are down -70% YTD. However, their LTM adjusted EPS has grown +40%.

Being a flooring company, they have the obvious headwinds; supply & demand, inflations, cost of capital, material costs etc.

Can anyone explain anything simple I’m missing to justify share price?

RT @72types: How did Buffett compound at 50% in the 1950s?

Take a look at his largest investment in 1955: Philadelphia & Reading.

Buffett’s P&R Investment:
- Bought at 0.5x book value in early 1955.
- Book value doubles over 5 years.
- Sold at 2x book value in late 1959.

CAGR = ~50% https://t.co/9nXkObnsOj

1/ Recent post led to DMs about how a stint as a gatekeeper influenced my investment approach.

Having some of the greatest investors of a generation open their playbooks was an education money can’t buy.

A few observations… ✌️ https://t.co/YbUHuQO9Xh
