Hyper Loop - Pitched as whisking passengers from LA to San Francisco in 35 minutes. Has never come to fruition. It has since come out Musk only pitched the idea because he wanted to kill plans for a high speed rail in California.

Taking Tesla private - Musk's infamous tweet from August 2018 where he said he would take $TSLA private at $420/share. Funding confirmed. Since it is still public we know how that played out. He had to pay a 20 million dollar fine to the SEC because if that.

In 2011 Musk said he would have a man on Mars within a decade or so, and 15-20 years worst case scenario. Time is ticking.

FSD - He has claimed it will be ready "next year" every single year since 2015 when autopilot first rolled out. FSD is around now, but timelines matter. Also FSD is not fully reliable now anyways.

Low end electric car - Musk has long promised a low end electric car meant to be suitable for those with a budget of 25k or less. He scrapped that project this year in February. - Spur | Investor
