When you see the signs that say "no bills larger than 20s accepted", ask the clerk if they know why that is. It is not b/c the clerks are too stupid to make change, though maybe some are, given modern education, rather it is the banks. They tell businesses, you don't really want to deal in larger bills as it invites theft. Of course, it's really a case of it irks the hell out of the banksters that they don't know what you are doing with their $100 FRN notes. We do know what they do with theirs....sniff sniff
