🎂 Last week, our school was filled with colour, music and the unmistakable spirit of Pancake Morning

Students, staff and families came together to celebrate, sharing treats, lively performances and plenty of laughter. Most of all, there was a strong sense of community.

Days like this give our students the opportunity to experience traditions in a meaningful way, learning about them and living them together.

Thank you to everyone who helped make the celebration so special!

🕊️ Last week, the Trinity Eco School Committee and our MYP 5 students took part in a meaningful reforestation initiative in Mallia, supporting efforts to restore areas affected by last July’s fires.

As part of their Service as Action programme, students worked alongside the Forestry Department and the Mallia Community Council to plant more than 50 trees and aromatic plants. The area will gradually develop into a botanical garden, creating a lasting green space for the village and the wider community.

Following a practical demonstration by forestry officers, students actively participated in planting and watering the new vegetation. The experience offered far more than environmental knowledge; it deepened their understanding of climate responsibility, collaboration, and civic engagement.

One of our students captured the spirit of the day:
It doesn’t matter which country we come from. Cyprus is now our home. We are part of the Cypriot community, and we want to stand up and contribute whenever and wherever we are needed.

We are proud to see our students take thoughtful, purposeful action — contributing to restoration efforts and strengthening their connection to the community they call home.

📖 Our school community recently gathered for a beautiful literary evening Poetic Café

Students, parents, and teachers met in a cosy setting to read poetry, listen to live music, and share their favourite works. Many families performed together, presenting poems about spring, childhood, and family.

One of the most special parts of the evening was a collective creative activity where guests wrote their favourite poetic lines and reflections on a shared canvas, turning it into a unique piece created by the entire community.

Thank you to everyone who participated and helped make this evening so warm and memorable.

⚜️ Trinity authorized to offer the IB Diploma Programme

We are pleased to announce that Trinity Private School is now officially authorised to offer the International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme (DP).

Trinity now provides two IB programmes — the Middle Years Programme (MYP) and the Diploma Programme (DP), expanding the learning pathway for our students.

The Diploma Programme prepares students aged 16–19 for university and encourages them to become knowledgeable, caring, and internationally minded individuals.

This milestone has been made possible thanks to the dedication of our educators, students, and families.

📖 What does Trinity Library truly offer our students?

It’s where inquiry begins. Where research becomes a habit.

During our recent parent workshop, we explored what an IB library looks like at Trinity. It is an active, guided learning space that supports children in becoming reflective thinkers, principled researchers, and courageous readers.

Our five-thousand-book collection is only part of the story. The library extends into students’ homes through digital research tools, Open Library access, OLIVER, and structured guidance on academic honesty. We encourage families to build home literacy routines, ask thoughtful questions, and embrace curiosity together.

From Cozy Mornings to roleplaying games, from Historic Fiction Book Club to independent study rooms, the library is where imagination and responsibility grow side by side.

The library, in two words: our sanctuary.

🚌 MYP 4 students completed their Geometry summative assessment at the archaeological park of Kourion

In this unique setting, students applied their mathematical knowledge to estimate the slope and height of the ancient amphitheatre, calculate its capacity, and compare their results with modern venues and classical theatres in Greece and Rome.

They used a range of approaches, including area estimation, similarity, congruence, and trigonometry, while also collecting data on site, identifying patterns, and presenting their findings in their final projects.

A truly engaging experience that connected mathematics with the real world.
