💻 Safer Internet Day

Safer Internet Day was marked across the school on 10 February through discussions, creative projects, and student-led presentations.
• Tutor hour activities on internet safety
• Grade 11 cybersecurity presentations for MYP students
• Kahoot competition in the library during lunch

A day focused on awareness, responsibility, and safer online behaviour.

🤩 Our Trinity students took part in a special Career Discovery Day with Amby Development, where they explored the world of architecture, construction, and city planning.

Wearing safety helmets and high-visibility vests, the children visited a live construction site, learned how buildings are created, observed the work of engineers and architects, and discovered the many professions involved in shaping a city. From developers and designers to project managers, students saw how teamwork turns ideas into reality.

Through interactive activities, they followed the journey from concept to completed home and gained a deeper appreciation of how the cities around us are built.

It was an inspiring day of learning beyond the classroom, helping our students connect their education with real-world careers and future possibilities.

Students, staff and families came together to celebrate, sharing treats, lively performances and plenty of laughter. Most of all, there was a strong sense of community.

Days like this give our students the opportunity to experience traditions in a meaningful way, learning about them and living them together.

🕊️ Last week, the Trinity Eco School Committee and our MYP 5 students took part in a meaningful reforestation initiative in Mallia, supporting efforts to restore areas affected by last July’s fires.

As part of their Service as Action programme, students worked alongside the Forestry Department and the Mallia Community Council to plant more than 50 trees and aromatic plants. The area will gradually develop into a botanical garden, creating a lasting green space for the village and the wider community.

Following a practical demonstration by forestry officers, students actively participated in planting and watering the new vegetation. The experience offered far more than environmental knowledge; it deepened their understanding of climate responsibility, collaboration, and civic engagement.

One of our students captured the spirit of the day:

It doesn’t matter which country we come from. Cyprus is now our home. We are part of the Cypriot community, and we want to stand up and contribute whenever and wherever we are needed.

We are proud to see our students take thoughtful, purposeful action — contributing to restoration efforts and strengthening their connection to the community they call home.
