Super Chess Heroes Youth Tournament under the roof at Trinity Private School

On Sunday, 9 November, our school turned into a chess battleground full of young heroes, as we proudly hosted the Super Chess Heroes Youth Tournament with our friends from Shah Mat Masters Chess Academy.

96 players, 5 age groups, endless moments of focus, laughter, and growth.
Every move was a lesson in patience, creativity, and respect.

Congratulations to all our champions and participants!
And thank you to everyone who made this day possible — our volunteers, parents, staff, and the Shah Mat Masters team.

📖 Queen’s Commonwealth Essay Competition

A Trinity Secondary student has earned a Gold Award in the 2025 Queen’s Commonwealth Essay Competition, with several classmates also receiving Silver and Bronze distinctions.

These results come from last year’s work in English Language and Literature, guided by their teacher, Mary Asimakopoulos.

The competition pushed students to think deeply, refine their craft, and communicate with clarity. Their success shows what consistent effort and thoughtful guidance can achieve and it encourages younger writers to aim high.

📖 Model United Nations Conference, Trinity Delegates

Our MUN team joined the conference hosted at the Senior School of Nicosia.

Across two days of committee work, debates, and negotiation, students represented their assigned countries with discipline and clear thinking.

They practised structured argumentation, resolution-writing, and collaboration with peers from across Cyprus — gaining a stronger understanding of global issues and the decision-making behind them.

A steady, thoughtful performance from every delegate.

💻 Hackathon 2025 at Trinity Secondary School wrapped up with real momentum

Students moved through two fast sprints, built AI-driven ideas, and pitched them with clarity and courage.

A warm thank you to our guests Christina Shailas, Neophytos Hadjistephnou, and Michael Isaev, for their guidance, Q&A sessions, and for joining the judging panel.

The winning team was led by girls and included one of their male peers, a reminder of how inclusive, supportive spaces help every student step forward in STEM.

🎓 Trinity University Fair

Last Saturday our campus turned into a lively hub of conversations about future pathways.

Representatives from Frederick University, University of Nicosia, American University of Beirut, CTL Eurocollege, Neapolis University Pafos, P.A. College, Cyprus Academy of Art, and European University Cyprus spent the morning with our families, sharing guidance on majors, applications, student life, and emerging fields shaped by AI.

With a warm welcome from Rosa Maria Blanco and Katerina Golubkova, the day unfolded in an open, supportive atmosphere where students could explore options and ask the questions that matter.

A meaningful step for our community — and a reminder that every journey begins with curiosity and courage.
