In my opinion a friend can't be other than a real friend, cause if a friend isn't real, it isn't/wasn't a friend in the first place.
Who's your friend depends on what your perception of what a friend is, I guess. Also friends (can) change overtime. You change too. Doesn't mean you were not a friend to the people in the past who you're now not friends with anymore right? Like childhoodfriends etc. Although this passage can be difficult.. doesn't have to be.

Also.. people have sometimes sadly their own f***ed up things in life, which make them unable to act in the friendly manner you'd like or you are used to.

Your comment (the first one I mean) tells way more then the litteral words are showing. I'm sorry for whatever happened to make you post a comment like that and wish you inner balance.
