🇦🇲 Premiere of the video for the new song "Ով դու արիական…" by the Armenian black metal band Rahvira. The track is dedicated to the victims of the Armenian Genocide, which began 110 years ago, on April 24th, 1915.
"Ով դու արիական…" - The composition begins with a memory of peaceful times before barbarian tribes attacked and transformed the Armenian soldier into a hero and defender. This opening depiction shares a dream of a peaceful life that was never realized. The Armenian soldier, bravely facing numerous dangers, falls in battle but becomes a collective figure, whose memory is tied to the defense of the homeland. In the song's core section, the "Silent Man" is a symbolic person who has lost his child. These lines also echo the tradition of vengeance rooted in ancient Armenian culture, an essential part of national identity and historical memory. The song reflects the spirit of patriotism, loss, and pain, but also resilience and defiance. It not only touches upon historical events but also expresses a national and personal tragedy that remains vivid and alive in the hearts of the Armenian people today...

The video includes excerpts from the film "Star of Hope", which tells the story of the national liberation struggle of the Armenian province of Syunik in the 18th century led by David Bek and Mkhitar Sparapet against Ottoman Turks and Safavid Persia. The Armenian Film Fund and the National Cinema Center of Armenia, which control the copyright, officially allowed the band to use the fragments.

🇬🇪 On August 7th, a concert of the American death metal band Malevolent Creation will take place in Tbilisi.
Malevolent Creation was formed in the late 1980s in Buffalo, New York, but soon relocated to Florida, becoming one of the key bands of the death metal scene there and signing a contract with Roadrunner Records. Releasing classic albums like The Ten Commandments and Retribution in the early 1990s, the band played an important role in shaping the genre and, more than three decades later, continues to be an unyielding force in death metal.
Local bands Necrosculptor, Angel Of Disease and Deathspawn from Armenia will join the concert.
