Mark Taylor describes it well when he describes the perils of the church entering into a 501(c)3 arrangement, creating a deep connection between Church and State. In a sense, we do this when we enter into retirement arrangements with employers who then "work out the details" with the Government. You stay ignorant, and they maintain their power.
Congress can theoretically set whatever rules and taxes they please on money you've already put into the system. Look at history. Most people are in the system one way or another, so remember that when you look at your retirement.
Yet another game of cat and mouse, but if it means their asses or your retirement, they will always throw you under the bus.
Precious metals can be purchased in an IRA, but if the highest tax rate increases exponentially, much of your appreciating metal value will go to the Government...😳👀
