Good morning with the song "Tadbeer se bigdi huyi taqdeer bana le" from the film "Baazi" (1951), in the voice of Geeta Dutt. The star cast were Dev Anand, Geeta Bali and Kalpana Kartik. The music director was Sachin Dev Burman and the lyrics were by Sahir Ludhianvi.

This song must be one of the very first songs of its genre namely a party or a club song, where a lady sings in a bar.or a club to entertain and one of the customers is the hero.

This song in due course of time became a timeless classic. It is sung by Geeta Dutt and picturised on Geeta Bali. Geeta Dutt singing for Geeta Bali is very similar to Mohammed Rafi singing for Shammi Kapoor since theyo songs are sung with fervor, and the picturisation displays equal vivaciousness and zest by the actor.

The song is sung wonderfully and it is picturised nicely on Geeta Bali and Dev Anand. Geeta Bali was born in the pre-partition Punjab in the city of Sargodha as Harkirtan Kaur in 1930.She was considered as one of the most spontaneous and expressive stars of Hindi films. She later married Shammi Kapoor in 1955.

Geeta Dutt's original name was Geeta Ghosh Roy Chowdhuri. She was born in Faridpur District in East Bengal in 1930. Music Director Hanuman Prasad gave her chance to sing two lines in the film Bhakt Prahlad (1946). Her major assignment came the following year, 1947, with Do Bhai. From 1947-1949 Geeta Duttt was number playback singer in Mumbai. Initially Geeta was a singer well known for bhajans and sad songs.

She was starved of attention due to Lata Mangeshkar's enormous success post Mahal (1949), the next few years were unremarkable for Geeta Roy. It changed with Baazi with SD Burman’s confidence in Geeta Roy. She sang six of the eight songs in the film and all were solos. The song from the film that transformed her career was 'Tadbeer Se Bigdi Hui'.

To Sahir Ludhianvi’s surprise SD Burman took a contemplative ghazal and transformed it into a foot-tapping song. Geeta Roy sang with fortitude and zest, her voice giving expression to Geeta Bali’s alluring inveigling enticing looks. The lyrics is so well written defining the fact that it is the effort (तदबीर) carves out fortune (तकदीर) and if you believe in yourself, take a risk and chance. Success is constituted by risk and chance and not by choice, so nicely elucidated in three stanzas:-

तदबीर से बिगड़ी हुई, तकदीर बना ले
अपने पे भर सा है तो इक दाँव लगा ले

डरता है जमाने की निगाहों से भला क्यों
इन्साफ तेरे साथ है, इल्ज़ाम उठा ले
अपने पे भर सा है तो इक दाँव लगा ले

क्या ख़ाक़ वो जीना है, जो अपने ही लिए हो
खुद मिट के किसी और को मिटने से बचा ले
अपने पे भर सा है तो इक दाँव लगा ले

टूटे हुए पतवार है, कश्ती के तो हम क्या
हारी हुई बाहों को ही पतवार बना दे
अपने पे भर सा है तो इक दाँव लगा ले?

तदबीर से बिगड़ी हुई, तकदीर बना ले

The song was a stupendous success and Geeta Roy had established her singingTadbeer Se Bigdi Hui Lyrics in Hindi. तदबीर से बिगड़ी हुई song from Baazi. It stars Dev Anand, Geeta Bali, Kalpana Kartik. Singer of Tadbeer Se Bigdi Hui is Geeta Ghosh Roy Chowdhuri (Geeta Dutt).

However, since 1957 they had marital problems due to which she was not readily available for rehearsals and found solace in drink. She suffered a nervous breakdown but resumed singing again. But her drinking addiction was not over and she died of liver cirrhosis liver in 1972.

It is implausible to imagine that such a wonderful music was composed nearly 72 years ago which sounds as fresh as dew drops on rose even today as it did seven decades ago!
