Recovery, Kernel and Root

Hello, i decide to make this detailed, step by step guide for installation of twrp recovery mode, custom kernel and magisk root method for the new users of S8, S8+ and Note8 on stock Rom, i hope admins- after reviewing this and modify and/or add any step - add it to group notes under any convenient name.

Things you have to know before you proceed with this guide:
- Your warranty is now void if you proceed
- You will trip your knox (0×1) and all it's services and some functions like secure folder, Samsung Health, Google pay and so, some features will be restored with the custom kernel.
- During the process you will lost all of your internal data (accounts, apps, games, media files) so make a backup of all important files.
- You must have an external sd card (16+ GB).


- Download latest frameware from sammobile just in case something goes wrong.
- Download and install latest Samsung USB drivers, so Odin can identify your phone.
- Download the latest Odin app for pc, no need to install (standalone app).
- Download latest official Twrp from official website (both tar and img format).
- Download latest stable magisk zip and manger apk from official forum in xda and move it to your sd card
- Download a custom kernel to bypass all securities along the process, and to gain more control over your system (hadeskernal or phantom kernel are recommended), also move to your ext sd card.

- Install Samsung drivers on your pc.

- Open Odin app on pc and uncheck auto reboot (critical).

- In your phone, inter developer mode, by pressing on the built number in about phone 4-5 times, it will be available in the main settings menu at the bottom.

- In developer mode check OEM unlock, and insure usb debugging is on, don't touch anything else.

- Inter Odin mode on your phone (turn off your phone, press&hold vol down+Bixby+power, press vol up to continue to download mode).

- Connect your phone to pc in this form (both odin pc app is open and download mode is on in the phone) with data transfer cable, like the one that comes with the device.

- In odin app choose AP tab and search for the twrp file that you download and select it, and hit start, should take few seconds to show green pass message.

- Disconnect phone from pc.

- Now to the difficult and dangerous step (press&hold vol down+Bixby+power, as precise as the screen switch, press&hold vol up+Bixby+power until Samsung splash screen appears, release all buttons exactly at this point) if twrp mode appears, then you have succeed, if not then you will have to start from installing the stock rom.

- Never reboot from twrp until you finished bypassing all securities.

- In twrp, swipe to all modifications, go to wipe tab and press format data tab, type yes (at this point you will lost all your data in internal memory, apps, accounts, media files,etc..), after the process, press back until main menu, and press reboot tab and choose recovery.

- Again swipe to allow modifications, go to install tab, select sd card storage and install the custom kernel and swipe to install, after the install, press back and install also magisk zip and swipe to install, after that press wipe cache and then reboot to system.

- Enjoy your new start, fresh with a custom recovery mode, kernel and magisk root.
