π Introducing Dataset.ET
The future of AI should speak Ethiopian languages.
Today we are launching Dataset.ET β an open community initiative to build the largest dataset for Ethiopian languages.
Why this matters:
Most AI systems today barely understand Amharic, Afaan Oromo, Tigrinya, Somali, and many other Ethiopian languages. Without datasets, AI will ignore our languages.
Dataset.ET is changing that.
What we are building:
β’ Speech datasets
β’ Text datasets
β’ Community-validated language corpora
β’ Open infrastructure for Ethiopian AI
How you can help:
1οΈβ£ Record sentences using our Telegram bot
2οΈβ£ Validate recordings from other contributors
3οΈβ£ Help expand datasets for Ethiopian languages
No technical skills needed β just your voice and your language.
π€ Start contributing:
https://t.me/dataset_et_bot
π Learn more:
https://dataset.et
π¬ Join the community:

Together we can teach AI to understand Ethiopia.

Why are so many tech guys incels? π€
Is it because weβre in a feminine field, or is it the current generation thing?

TDD + AI: The "No-Excuse" Era is Here π€
AI writes the boilerplate nowβso why are you still skipping tests? In the age of Agents, TDD is the only way to verify hallucinations.
π΄ Red: Use the test as your prompt.
π’ Green: Let the Agent pass it.
π΅ Refactor: Clean the AI's "mess" with confidence.
If you aren't enforcing high coverage and static analysis while using AI, you aren't "innovating"βyou're just shipping technical debt at a higher velocity.
Stop building fragile systems. If you aren't testing, you're just guessing π

I hate managing ipsec shit, too bad hetzner doesn't have a fully managed VPN service I'm about to vibe code a VPN management app
My IPsec usecase is not like OpenVPN, Wireguard or like ProtonVPN.
It's for site-to-site secure connectivity like our server to telebirr server, or x bank servers. The only VPN protocol they support is IPsec which is old af but does the job well.
Most big cloud providers have a built in VPN managers (like AWS, Azure, even Telecoud) but the smaller ones like digital ocean, hetzner doesn't provide a built it managed VPN service.
Also big commercial firewalls support that, usually with a web management, thats how the banks manage multiple site-to-site connections. One of the banks security admin told me they use checkpoint firewall and bought only 50 licenses and need to buy a expensive yearly subscription for each ipsec connectivity.
There are tools with web management but ipsec is like 10% of the feature they support, too complicated, too many bells and whistles. You can do it using strongswan and cli commands but the config and management is hell-ish when you have multiple site-to-site connections.
