Choosing not to show up fully in those moments isn’t giving up. It’s protecting yourself. It’s knowing that your excitement is valuable and not infinite. Fire that burns everywhere eventually destroys itself, and light shown to people who refuse to see only blinds them. Growth is learning when to light up, when to pause, and when to walk away with your energy intact.
