This is so true, whenever you put yourself in someone else's shoes, you start seeing the gaps in your understanding
For example, try to use your API as an FE dev and you quickly realize your design needs a lot of improvement.
Another example, I used to personally deliver products door to door to our customers to experience what our delivery agents were dealing with and I usually got something to do on our delivery app for the next week or so
Recently, I also did customer support on our toll-free line for a day to listen to real customer complaints
Anyways, try dogfooding
Feel free to Google that word, you will learn a lot

Industry connections can make or break a startup
Here are a few reliable services I personally used and am confident enough to recommend them, bear in mind that I'm not affiliated with any of the companies I'm gonna be listing below
1st:- Telecloud, we have been using their service for more than 2 years
2nd:- Afromessage, 16.3 million billed messages as of right now
3rd:- RingCloud, a cloud-based PBX
4 or 5 happy months
4th:- Telebirr, super awesome partner, I only hate their USSD api which is not so reliable
5th:- MK DSS, a local security card manufacturing company (ATM, NFC, RFID ...), I'm gonna be visiting their factory on Saturday
Build your startup on a solid and stable foundation, don't reinvent the wheel, unless it's necessary ๐คทโโ

Changing a 24k mAh power bank using a 140W Type-C charger is insane, it only took like 45 minutes to charge from empty to 100%
Bot idea
A telegram bot that lets you specify telegram channels or websites with RSS feeds, subjects you are interested in (could use LLM here), and sends you a curated list of news minus the ads
I would pay 100-200 birr per month
More fancy features could be
- AI-based summarization and translation
- Magazine-like weekly email
- Premium content like Meseret media or LinkUp (but might not be legal)

Yooo guys when you do stuff and release it, make sure to ask some people a beta test it so that U can perfect it then get the impression and the attention to make it a big release.
Yourself some stuff the UI is shitty on the phone people will just forget about you.
So before that select a small number of people and ask them to test it first then see the feedback.
Releasing a good product with some silly issue with just make you the usual intern posting his to-do app ok *.vercel.app so that people won't take you seriously.
Hope this message taken as a positive I just want you to release better.
Much love ๐
