Jacob pursuing meeting with Yahweh, lets go all the possible distructions away. His wives, children and possetions were not evil by themselves, in fact were signs of Yahweh's presence and blessings.

Yet, he was convinced at this critical moment there should be no distrution inorder to have real encounter with the God of his father's .

Abraham did the same thing while he was willingly obeyed to sacrifice his begotten son to show the importance of priority.

That is the holy place where human beings have the intimate aliance with God, where he ultimatly brings all our blessings back to us to have it and enjoy it in a right way.
Engage with your current situations and feelings well, however don't abide with them. Dwell on the concrete hope!
#2
Hope is not self confidence or mere optimism. It is based on faith or certainty. To have Faith is on what has been done or promised from the the ultimate being.
#3
True Faith or certainty only comes if there are true encounters from the ultimate being. When one is certainly encountered with what has been done or being promised with this being will have the necessary trust about the future

To unlock true Faith and hope try to see beyond your available informational knowledge. True trust and hope comes from beyond knowledge. You may know God has done or promised certain things. Yet, do you believe or have hope on them, is the defining question.

The renewal of the mind is important to know and rejoice by the will of God.
To know it is one important thing, yet to seek it and rejoice with it is another higher attitude.

"Do not be conformed to this age, but be transformed by the renewing of the mind, so that you may discern what is the will of God—what is good and acceptable and perfect."
Rom. 12:2

"Don't hide from the price of authentic faith behind an empty religious language!

Religious language can be decieving: we talk about forgiveness of sins, liberation from the bonds of satan, the opening of our eyes, and the cross of Christ, but fail to see how:

1. The forgiveness we received had costed God and how we are called to be a community of forgiveness and reconciliation likewise. Christ "killed" hostility on the cross and has made "a new, reconciled human" out of two warring identities. Paul has labored to realize this, to the point of imprisonment and death. How do we "kill" hostility today and what will it cost us? Love is a war, it is a war against hostility and it will cost you. Don't hide from the price of authentic faith behind an empty religious language!

2. We have been liberated from the bonds of Satan so that we may never be part of his project to "steal, kill and destroy" but involve in the vision of "abundant life". In this broken world, this too is costly: it costed Jesus his life, it will cost you too. How do you witness your freedom from Satan by resisting world systems that promote his agenda of destruction? How are you the Exodus community: a redeemed people committed to liberation? This too will cost you. Don't hide from the price of authentic faith behind an empty religious language!

3. The opening of our eyes means cutting through the lies and deception of the world so that we may tell the truth as we confess God. Do you no longer walk in darkness? Seek truth, not propaganda! Do you see the light? See the invisibles, the neglected, the incarcerated since there you find your God (Matthew 25). You're no longer blind? Let the upside down vision of God's Kingdom heal your perverted vision. This too will cost you: you will be a person who mourns, a person who is in tension as you await and confess God's redemption. You will have to let go of your false peace, longing for a true peace, and your picturesque world for the real one that needs redemption. Don't hide from the price of authentic faith behind an empty religious language!

4. The cross of Christ is not just a cultic phenomenon but a moral icon. It is a forerunner of all the crosses we need to carry as we follow Christ to our own deaths. It is the symbol of the cost we pay as the People of the Kingdom, living among kingdoms that often persecute those who confess the hope of authentic power and true politics. Do you confess the politics of Jesus's crucified mercy and compassion amidst exploitative and cruel empires and states? Then you'll find your cross. Will you pick it up and follow Jesus? The cross is the symbol of what redemption has cost God, but it is also a sign of what your redemption will cost you. Don't hide from the price of authentic faith behind an empty religious language!"
Life can be summed up to be all about relationships.
If we are well in relating properly with self, others and creation , we can say we will be best at navigating life well.
If we fail in relationships we fail in life.
Yet, by nature of the diversity and multitud of these relationships we may lose control in keeping order.
Because at the core of life's relationships there is also created order.
Thus, the success of life is determined in the ability to secure the right order among relationships.
The primary and the center of all relationships is the relationship we have with God.
As, we are able to keep and prioritize it the best we will be able to succeed in other relationships.
THE REASON IS The nature of this relationship will tech and purify other relationships.
First, when we know God called us to covenantal relationship, it will remind us the importance of sacrificial and unconditional love.
second core lesson we get from this covenant relationship is priority. As, you keep on prioritizing God in life you lern to make orders in life according to worth and glory.
That's why in Biblical wisdom fear of the lord is at the heart of created order in life's success.
That's why the gospel makes "seek God and his kingdom " at the heart of human search for eternal life.
That's why Jesus keeps on pointing to prioritize the kingdom and search it as the most valuable thing in human endeavors.
As we succeed in this search: certainty we succeed in life in its fullest blessings.
Here is where you find theology is crucial; at the darkest time of your life, may be where you feel you're spiritually bipolar, where your emotions have their limite. Yet, with out the biblical simple stories you can not have the true, concrete uunderstanding of God and his everlasting love.
I was in a training session for Migrants and was discussing about forgiveness and healing. As, we were discussing a young man expressed, he has no one to refer as an enemy. I get curious and asked him why and if he had never encountered bullies in school.

He thinks his life is to short to have enemies and hold grudges.

Then, we started to discuss in length about bullying. He explained, bullying today is quite different than it was in my school days. Young people now are dealing with cyber bullying. Ahh, the times have really changed.

It made me wonder, why it has become easy for people be harsh on fellow humans as they are behind screens. Is it may be as Oscar Wilde sayed, “Man is least himself when he talks in his own person. Give him a mask, and he will tell you the truth.” ?

I don't know. Yet, we have being reminded with the kind of phenomenon we are dealing with. What kind of legal and ethical frameworks should be created to protect people and preserve empathy in digital space?
