You will be good or do good not to have the favor of God. It is the other way you do and be good because you got the favor of God. You don't try to please your parents to be a child to them, but you do things because you are already their child. You don't any more do what pleases your wife to make her your wife, you will do what you ought to do because she is the best thing that happens in your life. It is the same way with God; we already have his favor and love without any of our efforts. As it is said, "for while we were still weak, at the right time Christ died for the ungodly....God proves his love for us in that while we still were sinners Christ died for us. So please don't try hard to impress or west your energy to prove your self to him, but just ponder on his love and what his love made you to be. Then the commitment flows. #you are loved unconditionally!!
Curious what is missing...
If you're life feels like it is tearing apart, if you lose all the satisfactions in life and if you're world seems it is crumbling, may be it is the love of God what is missing.
When your relationship with God is straight and if you know God is the center of your love, affection, and desire, all will be settled. And if the upright relationship is settled you will be unshakable!

What if he/she would be Jesus?
One of the famous cote in Christianity is "what would Jesus do?". It situates a person to think and act like Jesus (assuming as if how Christ would think or act) in different circumstances. It is a crucial part of discipleship and imitating Jesus.
Nevertheless, most of the time, thinking or assuming (accepting) as the other person would be Jesus is simply over looked. And, I believe it is another crucial aspect of being a Christian. It is the way we affirm, Jesus is 'God becoming man'. In which he embraces the whole of humanity. He is identified with all who have soul and are God's image. That's why, speaking of helping the poor, the sick...,he said "truly I tell you, just as you did not do it to one of the least of this, you did not do it to me" (Math. 25:45).
So, to think of others who need all our help, care, love support ...are like they 'would be Jesus' should motivate us to treat them right. And, anything we de in that light is, surely counted as we do it straight to Christ.

Sami

Take care of what you desire.
What you seek and desire; what you wish and dream for, as you are willing to pay what it takes...the probability of getting it is high.
In biblical examples, Moses (seeks the presence), Jacob (to have spiritual blessing ), David (seeks to be in the house of the Lord), Solomon (seeks wisdom), and Paul (to know God), are good examples to what we should really strive for.
Indeed it is worth for to pay all it costs and fervently seeking.
Let's put all the efforts to find and be what is true, meaningful and eternal!

Don't be surprised with your failure, even with your wickedness , and or even all your in capabilities. But, be amazed with the width and strength of God's love and patience.
True spirituality doesn't comes from the struggle of keeping the status quo, or the proscribed law. But, with the total, hope, faith (trust) on the unfailing love and the power of God that can change ...and makes perfect.
#God is our only hope. #and pride!!!!

People may not understand What you really feel and experience right now. But, for sure your current situations might help you understand many other people.
"Christianity isn't difficult- it's impossible." In other words, what Christ calls us to do we cannot do apart from his empowerment. Chestron, as cited in Manley Pippert)
What would we be without him? The only way to cross over the world’s thunder, storm and any obstacles is by the lords unfailing love and help. Stay on truck!

Remember the king we ought to follow is a humble king who came to his royal city on a donkey and be on his throne on a cross!

Passion week reflection #2
“If you are king of Jews Save your self!” Was the crowed shouting; Affirming “he saved many”.
Never realizing without his body been broken there will be no salvation.
They built a temple which was a burden for a widow. With there blind zeal for the house they consume him. Never realizing he is the true temple. With their folly he built a new temple.
God used human evil to bring life. With Judas betrayal he they all got mercy. With Peter’s denial we’ve seen his love. With his false charge Pilate and Herod make peace. With his arrest barabbas is released. With his crucifixion a robber got the kingdom. For, he is the Passover Lamb!!!

Jesus’ road of crucifixion is an example for all who dared to follow him. Since we know this road didn’t end in shame and death, we all need to carry the cross as Simon of Cyrene and follow behind Jesus!

We know little. We don’t even understand the very little of ourselves.
We’re impotent. We can’t even control the very deepest of our feelings.
We’re recipients of everything. The smallest things that seems. Every bit of love, cherish, laughter, joy and peace.

Thinking of Joshwa the high priest...
Even though, the adversary stands beside, and “Now Joshwa was clothed with filthy garments “; is also the “Angel of the lord is beside “.
God also reminded “Oh Satan’ ‘I had chosen thee and his is a brand plunked out of a fire”.
The fire that purifies you will burn the adversary. Stay still and watch the saviors wonder!!

Christmas should remind all of us the path which God chooses to give the good news.
It seems so scandalous for the Jews, and foolishness for the Greeks because of this presentation.
God chose the lowest of all roads to reveal Jesus. He came from a family line of all brokenness.
Matthew mentions Tamar (who was considered to be like a prostitute), Ruth (who was a Moabite) and bathsheba wife of Uriah the Hittite) to show how it was broken for the Jews understanding.
And, through the lowest path God gave the good news for those who were considered-to be lowest.
Merry and Joseph were teenagers who were fro a poor background. The first who were able to hear the good news were the Shepherds. The first who acknowledged the messiah were the Magi’s from the East.
In these we understand no matter the broken part of life you think can be an instrument for God and no matter you feel to be an insignificant you are precious to God.
Merry Christmas!!

‘Sit and Wait the Gift of Promise’
In Acts 1:4-8 we find Jesus’ last moments of his earthly ministry. After his resurrection, he continues to teach them about the Kingdome of God and command them about their future. The command given to the apostles that captured my attention is “to sit and wait for the promise”. This promise is of the baptism of the Holy Spirit. And, the reason is that “[they] will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes”.
Now, this is very important part of the rest of the apostles’ journey. The same as that I believe it is also important for our Christian life’s journey today. Anything what is going to happen in the life of the apostles ministry is going to be energized, motivated, abled, directed,…and so on by this power of the Holy Spirit (God). Without it nothing (any Christian activity) will be possible.
We are living in the time of competition. I could say the greatest motivation of the day seems to be envy or competition. Things urge us to compete with each other in Christian life and ministry (we may want to energize our Christian life by comparing our life with other fellow Christians and may think I have to be like so and so…). Or, maybe, we are competing with ourselves, if you like. I mean, sometimes, there is an urge that pushes us to react to our past. To make it clear you may want to be energized for Christian life and ministry by remembering what you were in the past and want to bring yourself to that past by simply blaming yourself for everything (by regret).
However, I believe the key to Christian life and energized ministry is the same as the beginning of it. Every Christian ministry and whatever is in the life of Christianity, it cannot be seen without the initiation and enablement of this power. This power is mentioned as a “gift”. Given from God, which implies it is not to be earned.
So, my message for today is “follow the commandment”: stay and wait! Wait in prayer and faith by claiming that everything is nothing without him. He is the source of your motivation for Christian life and ministry.
Stay Blessed!
