In my room, opposite my study desk, there is a painting of a tree on the wall. However, this is no ordinary tree. To me, this painting means a lot more. I can feel the warmth of the sun rays that are peeking through the branches. The long branches create dancing shadows on the fresh, dewy grass beneath. The lush coolness of the grass relieves my eyes. My eyes drink in the various shades of green ranging from bright yellow, light, medium and dark green, to dark mahogany brown and tinges of black.

Every morning, as I climb into the driver’s seat of the car, clutch onto the steering wheel, I am treated to a sight that makes the sleepiness worth it. Nature outside my window astounds me in all its beauty. It’s easy to forget that the world in which we live is one that is beyond beautiful.

On one such morning, I read the ‘Thought of the Day’–
“People admire the beauty of Nature, but are not aware of the beauty in their hearts”.

I have never thought about the heart, as an organ that is beautiful. Its beats remind me that I am alive. Every beat is another chance. For every day I live, I get another chance to change my habits, fix my mistakes, and grow into a better person. The heart too gives me hope.

I suspect that Swami may have referred to the beauty of the mind – the emotional heart. The mind is at its most beautiful state when it is strong. I admire its capacity to have faith, be confident, and be fearless. When the mind is focused with one-pointed concentration, when it is steady and still and when it is one with the present – this emotional heart beats loud and hard. It beats the world’s best rhythm. I pray to Swami that I find this rhythm. I hope you find it too. (Nimaashaa, Australia)

Growing up, my family and I would always visit Puttaparthi at least for a day when we visited India every few years. It was always a short stop on our hectic schedule. I always told Bhagawan in my heart, "Swami, I should stay here longer, 10 days!" Last year, I received a text message from my Regional Young Adults (YA) Coordinator stating that a Sai devotee was searching for a YA to participate in a Christmas play in Puttaparthi. I immediately responded “Yes” without even asking my employer for vacation time or knowing any details of the programme.

It was my first time travelling to India alone, and for an extended period of time. The organiser asked us to be present in Puttaparthi for exactly 10 days. I was chosen as one of the main characters of the play! The only catch was that I had to grow a moustache - something I did not want to do! But since it would bring me closer to Swami, I agreed.

In Puttaparthi, I spent my time diligently practicing my lines, trying my best to avoid any distractions that Swami kept placing in my path. Instead of venturing out and exploring the town, I kept to myself and focused on the opportunity Swami had granted me. I found myself constantly trying to improve my dialogue delivery. The day before the play, the organiser noticed my hard work and gave me the privileged opportunity to offer Aarthi in Sai Kulwant Hall after our programme. I was overjoyed! As I was returning back, Bhagawan even "arranged" that my train compartment included a high-ranking Government Official who was also visiting Puttaparthi. As he was provided high-security detail, all my nervousness about travelling alone was gone. Swami sent me home with armed guards!

I learned at His Lotus Feet, that He always fulfils our desires, in His own way, at the right time. We must enthusiastically say "Yes!" to every opportunity He affords us, and any trials along the way are His way of securing His choicest blessings! Thank you, Swami! (Samir, USA)

I belong to a family who until a few years ago was unaware of our beloved Bhagawan. It was in February 2016 that my Sai voyage started. My childhood friend invited me to attend Sai bhajans held at her place on Thursdays. Out of love for music, I attended the session. After three weeks, it was hard to deny the obvious; – there was a sense of peace that had been instilled in me and my surroundings. It was then that I realised that we needed to procure a photo of Swami since we did not have any at home.

Now comes the life changing incident which brought me closer to Him. In that same week, a photo fell from my father’s pocket. My father mentioned that it was distributed at the market. Out of curiosity, I picked it up. The coincidence was unbelievable. It was none other than our beloved Bhagawan. I realised that this was definitely His visiting card.

That experience definitely set the ball rolling on a beautiful journey to His Lotus Feet. After five months, I found myself in Sai Kulwant Hall singing His glory in the World Youth Festival 2016 despite having faced many financial difficulties. This was again His unbelievable miracle. The first time when I touched Swami’s Samadhi, I felt such indescribable bliss that I could not hold back my tears. I felt like my life’s mission was accomplished.

Now, four years later, I am an active member, serving at the Centre, Regional and National Level in the Sri Sathya Sai International Organisation. These miracles have not only transformed me, but also my family members who are now His ardent devotees. Oh Sai, I am grateful to be an instrument in Your Divine Mission. (Manisha, Mauritius)

The Sri Sathya Sai International Organization (SSSIO) is the only official Organization outside India founded, guided, and nurtured by Bhagawan Sri Sathya Sai Baba.

Regarding the Global Council announced by the Sri Sathya Sai Central Trust (SSSCT) today, the official position of the SSSIO is to continue to operate independently as per the divine command of Bhagawan Sri Sathya Sai Baba, as it has been doing for over 50 years.

The Sanathana Sarathi article of March 2006 was the last word on this matter. Bhagawan has never stated or written anything to reverse this Divine Command since that time. He has always guided and nourished the independent operations of the Sri Sathya Sai World Foundation (SSSWF).

The SSSIO, therefore does not recognize a Global Council.

In 2011, I applied to a graduate school in Geneva, Switzerland. Many administrative processes ended up becoming more complicated than I anticipated. I felt completely alone and wanted Swami to prove to me that He was watching over me. One night, after reciting 21 Aums, I clearly requested Him to prove to me that He was there for me. I went to bed and a few minutes later, I woke up to check my email.

I had received an email that someone from YouTube, had subscribed to my channel. I clicked on the profile and found that it was a channel with videos of Swami! I felt reassured that Swami had shown His omnipresence. Eventually, everything ended up working perfectly! Indeed, Swami has a personal connection with each of His devotees and responds to their earnest prayer in perfect Divine timing, providing assurance and captivating their hearts. (Avinash, USA)
