Shortly after Sathya Sai Baba left His physical body, I had a very special dream. In it, I was an invisible witness in a hospital ward. On the bed, Swami's condition was deteriorating and around Him, a group of concerned doctors were trying to stabilise Him. They looked at each other in anguish as they left the room.
A few seconds later, like a mischievous child who had just made his elders believe that he was asleep, Swami opened His eyes and peeked to check whether the doctors were still in the room. Then, He got out of bed and adjusted His robe. Sensing my presence, He turned and looked in my direction and I made myself present there. Clasping His hands like someone who is about to start something, Swami said to me: "Well, I have to go now". I approached Swami and tried to stammer “No...Why?” to which Swami lovingly replied, “My mission continues and I have to go."
Then a portal opened, filling the room with warm light, and Swami began to enter it, still looking at me. Grief stricken, I started crying until I ran towards Him, pleading with Him not to leave. Sobbing, clinging to His feet and robe, I felt my world was collapsing. But Swami, with the love of a million mothers, leaned down and embraced me deeply. He allowed me to cry for a moment in that hug and then lovingly said: “I am always with you, there is no way we are far from each other”. He smiled at me until I somehow accepted the situation, told Him that I love Him and would miss Him. Still looking at me and smiling, He grew smaller in that light, until the room was filled with light. At that moment, I woke up with mixed emotions, crying and laughing at the same time.
Several years later, a Sai friend had a similar experience as mine. He was also going through the great sadness of missing Swami constantly and asked "I want to see You. I want to see You, Swami!" until one night, in a dream, Swami whispered the answer -"How to see the one who sees? I am the One who sees." Thank you, Swami! (Rafael, Argentina)

I was born into a Sai family, however my journey with Swami started as a child. Swami protected my family on several occasions: saving my father from cancer, my sister from physical disability and myself, from childhood sickness. Growing up, I used to wonder whether Swami would notice me since I was young. During one interview, when I was wondering whether Swami would notice me, He came and showered immense love on me by sprinkling vibhuti on my eyes and granting padanamaskar. He also said "I know this is Nirali’s” when He looked at a picture I drew.
Swami has also guided me during my University years when I needed it the most. I recall having failed a qualifying exam to become a pharmacist. I realised that I needed to change my method of revision but was not sure how. Swami appeared in my dream and gave me very specific instructions to follow to pass my exams. The night before the results were to be released, I had doubts about passing. Swami appeared in my dream again and we were sitting outside where I used to have my SSE classes. He said, “Why fear when I am here? Tell me your problems and I’ll take them all away.” We talked all night about several topics and the following morning I found out I had passed my exams.
I did not realise it before, but it is the prayers of our ancestors that brought my family to our dearest Swami, who blessed us immensely through the various interactions we were privileged to have had with Him. Whenever I feel like giving up, Swami never lets me forget His words. He came in my dream, pointed at me and firmly said “Do My Work”. Therefore, with every fibre of my being and love in my soul, I dedicate my life to service, for Swami, my best friend. (Nirali, UK)

Ever since I was a baby, I was told I have been attracted to Swami. I grew up attending Thursday satsangs and Sai Centre activities from a very young age.
In 1993, I was very adamant on accompanying my grandmother to a satsang. After great persuasion, my grandmother finally agreed to take me with her. Five minutes into the journey, tragedy struck. We were involved in a horrific car accident in which, both my grandmother and I sustained open wounds and serious injuries. We were rushed to the hospital for emergency surgery as we were unresponsive at the scene. All our known friends and Sai family deeply prayed for our recovery. It was only through faith and fervent prayers to our dear Swami that became our true saving grace.
Many years after the accident, I had the most unusual conversation with a stranger. This person did not know me nor anything about my life but started relating the incidents of this tragic accident. I was taken aback as only close relatives and our Sai family had known about this experience. He reiterated, ''At the age of 4, you met with a dangerous accident, which would have resulted in your demise. I saw a man with big hair and an orange robe having His arms around you. This is the person who saved you''. I was brought to tears that day and I knew that it was none other than my dearest Sathya Sai Baba who showered His grace on my grandmother and I, thus saving us.
Post the accident, I was told I would never be able to lead a normal life, which has not been the case due to Swami’s love and blessings. As a token of my gratitude, I have decided to dedicate my life to Swami by being involved in His Divine mission. I am currently a Group 4 SSE Teacher and actively participate in the Sai Young Adults activities. I pray that I am able to serve at His Divine lotus feet for the rest of my existence.
