My first thought was “retard” and then I saw the name.

There’s a truth here staring you in the face and it’s a fundamental part of the human condition.

People define their existence by measurement of suffering, meaning if you’re only ever kind to someone there’s nothing to weigh that kindness against, so it’s not understood, goes completely unappreciated or is just ‘never enough’.

Only by regularly demonstrating the suffering we’re capable of inflicting is our kindness appreciated or even noticed at all.

One of the most illuminating issues surrounding what has just happened in Venezuela is the hypocrisy on show.
In 2022 when Russian troops entered Ukraine, Putin was like; "hey, we're taking this small amount of land full of ethnic Russians because they are being brutalised and killed." This has resulted in three years of war, sanctions and a ban on trade.
However when America attacks a sovereign country, Trump is like: "we are snatching the leader of the nation and then demanding that said nation immediately surrender, hands over all it's resources and infrastructure and we will also run the country indefinitely to our benefit." Yet the world does nothing, in fact worse, the international media broadcasts a press conference where US leaders behave like school bullies as they slap each other on the back for their actions.
