From Words to Action: New Partnerships for "Sails of the Spirit"

The final day in Mersin Province proved truly eventful for the "Sails of the Spirit" team. The day began within the walls of the Mersin University Branch in Tarsus, where project participants introduced students to the philosophy of Extrability. Six parallel workshops transformed the classrooms into a space for lively dialogue—both students and faculty engaged with genuine interest in the practices of mutual enrichment.

Later, the team visited Çağ University, where an important event took place—the signing of a cooperation memorandum. University Rector Murat Koç, Dursun Arslan, and Oleg Kolpashchikov solidified their shared commitment to developing joint projects. Immediately after the formal part, a completely informal activity began—a chess match between participant Kamila Serikbolkyzy from Kazakhstan and a local student. The game was intense yet truly friendly.

Meanwhile, two yachts had already departed from Mersin Marina, embarking on their journey to Taşucu. By evening, the rest of the team joined them to continue together toward the shores of Marmaris.

The day turned out to be a perfect blend of educational mission, business agreements, and the spirit of genuine adventure!

On Board the Yacht: Representatives of Akkuyu Nuclear - Support That Inspires New Achievements

An important meeting took place in Turkey between participants of the "Sails of the Spirit" project and representatives of Akkuyu Nuclear. This is Türkiye's first nuclear power plant, constructed with the support of the State Atomic Energy Corporation "Rosatom."

Dmitry Shlykov, Chief Specialist of the Press Service of JSC "Akkuyu Nuclear," and Ivan Blinov, Construction Work Production Expert, came on board the yacht. The guests were given a tour of the vessel, introduced to the team, and learned about the project's philosophy, which helps people with and without disabilities discover hidden abilities in themselves and each other, learn to trust, and act together.

The day concluded with an awards ceremony for the sea voyage participants. The representatives of Akkuyu Nuclear noted that the "Sails of the Spirit" project holds special significance not only for Russian nuclear cities but also for Akkuyu, where a new international community of nuclear specialists is forming. They expressed confidence that the Akkuyu youth movement would eagerly join this initiative.

⛵️ Extrability-Business on the Open Sea

Sunrise on a yacht. Salty wind. Sails filled. Participants of the "Sails of the Spirit: Movement Toward Mutual Enrichment" project are sailing the route from Taşucu to Marmaris.

This year, everything happening on board is permeated with one idea: to give each other something that will be valuable to the other.
Some share a traditional dish, others – a song in their native language, and others – a story that changes one's perspective on the world. These moments add up to something greater: an atmosphere of trust, respect, and true unity.

On the yachts – heartfelt conversations, knowledge exchange, cooking together, first steps in sailing, where newcomers learn how a yacht works, how to set sails, and feel the wind. For many, this is their first time on the open sea. And perhaps the beginning of a new passion.

At the end of the day, we have a special ritual: exchanging mutually enriching gifts between the boats. These are not just souvenirs, but symbols of attention, respect, and gratitude.

The journey to Marmaris is not just a geographical route. It is a movement toward new horizons of understanding, friendship, and shared development.

Follow the "Sails of the Spirit" – here, everyone becomes part of something greater.

Gift Design Inspired by Tchaikovsky

We've mentioned before that aboard the "Sails of the Spirit," participants not only learn to sail but also practice Extrability-business through the "Gift Design" game. The essence is simple: give what the other person truly needs. Sometimes it's advice. Sometimes it's a blanket. And sometimes... it's water ballet.

This time, the yacht crews decided to create a real surprise for each other. And the men's yacht chose the path of great art.

Presenting: "Swan Lake. Sailors' Edition" 🎭

All jokes aside - moments like these are the essence of "Gift Design": not just giving a gift, but investing attention, laughter, and the willingness to step out of your comfort zone (even if that comfort zone is a dry deck).

Thank you, men's yacht team, for this wonderful gift!

"Sails of the Spirit. Movement Towards Mutual Enrichment" in Turkey. A Recap

We journeyed from Trabzon to Antalya, from Antalya to Mersin, and from Mersin to Marmaris.

We were joined by many people from 9 countries.

We held Extrability Days in Trabzon, took part in a White Cane Day parade, and learned to tie nautical knots and navigate spaces blindfolded.

We laughed at a performance of "Swan Lake" on deck and cheered for the team where sailors with Down syndrome steered the yacht to victory.

We held concerts, discussed the future of Extrability business, and signed memorandums—not as a formality, but as a promise to continue.

This chapter is complete. But what was born between us will not fade.
Because"Sails of the Spirit" is more than just a route on a map.
And we are glad you were with us.

Thank you. Until we meet again—in future projects, at sea, in life.

On 24 December, the international online event “Extrability Games” will take place, connecting participants from four countries: Russia, Iran, Nepal, and Kyrgyzstan. The event will be held fully online, enabling teams to join remotely from their respective countries and compete on equal terms.

The event is supported by the following partners: Blind Rocks Nepal, Bishkek State University named after K. Karasaev, Ural Federal University named after the First President of Russia B. N. Yeltsin, and the ANO “White Cane” (Belaya Trost).

The “Extrability Games” aim to strengthen international cooperation and promote an accessible, inclusive environment for collaborative team-based activities.
On 24 December, the international online “Extrability Games” brought together teams from Russia, Iran, Nepal, Kyrgyzstan, and Kenya.
The event lasted two hours and was delivered in Russian and English with consecutive interpretation.

The programme included five games: two were hosted by the Russian side, and one each was hosted by the Kyrgyz, Iranian, and Nepalese teams.
The teams included blind participants as well, and this did not hinder communication—on the contrary, it helped create a warm, inclusive atmosphere where teams from different countries connected closely despite the online format.
