I found myself in a conversation with my friends, where questions bounced from one topic to another, until we landed on the subject of love lives. One of my friends asked how we'd want our love life to be.
What struck me was that I didn't hear a single word about virtues, traits, or character. All I heard were "types" "brunettes," "ugh, I hate blondes with blue/green eyes, they're too much."
Everyone shared their opinions, and honestly, no one fucking bothered to ask about mine. But that's okay.
Here's the thing: looks can be deceiving. And beyond that, no one chooses how they look. I would never want to be the kind of person who dislikes someone simply because they aren't "brunette enough" or whatever the standard is.
That person I'd be rejecting for not being my "type" could genuinely like me, and I might not be their type either.
So I just wanted to say: if you love someone, fall in love with their soul, not their looks.
