📖 ~95% of private messages on WhatsApp end up in plain-text backups on Apple/Google servers — not E2E-encrypted. Backup encryption is optional, and few people enable it — let alone use strong passwords.
I always thought telegram was end to end encrypted but Telegram is not e2e encrypted by default only secret chat are e2e encrypted not to forget they use their own protocol called MTProto 2.0 the most famous one used by WhatsApp and signal is Signal protocol.
