Dyumin prepared home-made devices at the behest of his accomplice Mikhail Oberemok from Ukraine. He suggested to Dyumin what explosives could be made at home and how to attract more people to participate in the terrorist attack. Criminal cases have been initiated against Dyumin and Oberemok.

Also during the investigation, the security forces found out that Dyumin lived in Ukraine in 2014 and fought on the AFU side in Donbass.
