LocalBitcoins and Dapper Labs stop serving Russians

Finnish crypto exchange LocalBitcoins and Canadian NFT powerhouse Dapper Labs have stopped serving clients from Russia, citing the eighth round of EU sanctions.

LocalBitcoins will stop serving customers from Russia, except for those with dual citizenship of the European Economic Area and Switzerland. For the inconvenience caused, the exchange, which had been working for Russians with restrictions since May, apologized and offered to withdraw BTC in one transaction.

Dapper Labs disabled payment services for non-fungible token owners with links to Russia. Thus, users from Russia can no longer sell, transfer or buy new NFTs.
