In Russian, «ещё» can have three meanings, and that’s why it’s confusing for learners.

1️⃣ «Ещё» = still / yet — when something continues.
— I’m still studying.
— He’s still sleeping.
— I haven’t eaten yet.

2️⃣ «Ещё» = too / in addition / and also — when you add another idea, like “and also.”
— I love bananas, and I also love pineapples.
— She works as a doctor, and she also teaches.

3️⃣ «Тоже» = too / also — when you mean “me too” or “I do the same.”
— I love music too (just like you).
— I’m also learning Russian (same as you).

💡 So:
ещё = still / yet / and also
тоже = too / also (same as someone else)

I love sport too.
I still love sport.
I love sport, and I also love swimming.

Hello everyone👋

I want tell you about something that many of my students don't even know — about government quotas for foreigners in Russia.

Yes-yes, you understand correctly. It is possible to study in Russian university for free. Completely free. And this is not some fairy tale, but real opportunity that thousands of students use every year.

What is quota?

This is when government allocates certain number of places for foreign students in Russian universities. And education in these places is completely free.

Many of my students are surprised when I tell them about this😊 They thought that studying in Russia is definitely expensive. But actually there are options.

And here is most important thing.

Quotas exist in very different universities all over Russia. From Moscow to Vladivostok. Medicine, engineering, economics, philology — you can find program in almost any specialty.

Of course, you need to pass selection. You need to know Russian language at certain level (usually B1-B2). You need to collect documents and submit application on time.

But this is real🎉 I saw how my students entered by quota and studied in excellent universities. Someone already finished and works now, someone continues to study.

💐If you are thinking about studying in Russia — be sure to explore this opportunity. This can be your chance to get quality education without huge expenses.

And if you are teacher — tell your students about this. Many people simply don't know that this is possible.

Did you know about government quotas? Maybe someone from your students entered by quota? Share experience😊

And now — Russian & Uzbek 🇷🇺🤝🇺🇿
If you’re starting to learn Russian, begin with international words or words from your own language — it makes learning much easier.
