In Russian, we don’t say “Я есть 25 лет.”
Instead, we say “Мне 25 лет” — literally “To me are 25 years.”

Here are all the pronouns in use:
• Мне — to me
• Тебе — to you
• Ему — to him
• Ей — to her
• Нам — to us
• Вам — to you (formal/plural)
• Им — to them

💡Tip: Always use the dative case (мне, тебе, ему, ей, etc.) when talking about age in Russian!

❗️Why we don’t say “Если ты была вчера на уроке?” in Russian

In Russian, the word “если” means “if” — we use it only for conditions or future / planned situations, not for yes/no questions.
👉 Если будет дождь, я не пойду гулять. — If it rains, I won’t go for a walk.

But if you want to ask a yes/no question like “Were you at the lesson yesterday?”, you can’t use если.
In Russian, we use either:
1. The particle “ли” — it goes after the verb:
👉 Была ли ты вчера на уроке?
2. Or just word order and intonation:
👉 Ты была вчера на уроке?

So remember:
➡️ “Если” = “if” (for conditions)
➡️ “Ли” or word order = for yes/no questions

🗣️ In Russian, we don’t say “I don’t have boyfriend” using the verb to be!
Instead, we use the special word «нет» 💡

❌ у меня не есть парень
✅ у меня нет парня

So remember — in Russian, “нет” means “there is no” or “don’t have”.

In Russian, «ещё» can have three meanings, and that’s why it’s confusing for learners.

1️⃣ «Ещё» = still / yet — when something continues.
• Я ещё учусь. — I’m still studying.
• Он ещё спит. — He’s still sleeping.
• Я ещё не ел. — I haven’t eaten yet.

2️⃣ «Ещё» = too / in addition / and also — when you add another idea, like “and also.”
• Я люблю бананы, а ещё я люблю ананасы. — I love bananas, and I also love pineapples.
• Она работает врачом, а ещё преподаёт. — She works as a doctor, and she also teaches.

3️⃣ «Тоже» = too / also — when you mean “me too” or “I do the same.”
• Я тоже люблю музыку. — I love music too (just like you).
• Я тоже изучаю русский язык. — I’m also learning Russian (same as you).

💡 So:
• ещё = still / yet / and also
• тоже = too / also (same as someone else)

👉 Я тоже люблю спорт = I love sport too.
👉 Я ещё люблю спорт = I still love sport.
👉 Я люблю спорт, а ещё люблю плавание = I love sport, and I also love swimming.
