❗️Заявление МИД России в связи с завершением процедуры выхода Российской Федерации из Договора об обычных вооружённых силах в Европе (ДОВСЕ)

Приостановив действие ДОВСЕ, Россия оставляла дверь открытой для диалога о путях восстановления жизнеспособности контроля над обычными вооружениями в Европе. Однако наши оппоненты не воспользовались такой возможностью, предпочли и далее строить свою политику не на принципах сотрудничества, а на блоковой антироссийской основе.

С учётом прямой ответственности стран НАТО за разжигание конфликта на Украине, а также приёма в альянс Финляндии и продолжающегося рассмотрения аналогичной заявки Швеции, даже формальное сохранение ДОВСЕ стало неприемлемым с точки зрения коренных интересов безопасности России.

👉Из многолетней истории Договора можно сделать несколько выводов

1️⃣Первый заключается в том, что попытки обеспечивать военную безопасность в Европе без учёта интересов России ни к чему хорошему их инициаторов не приведут.

2️⃣Второй – попытки цепляться за отжившие свой век договорённости, не соответствующие новой обстановке, также обречены на провал и чреваты развалом механизмов сотрудничества в сфере контроля над вооружениями.

3️⃣Третий – власти государств-членов НАТО и стран-клиентов этого блока наглядно показали свою недоговороспособность. На данном этапе никакие договорённости с ними в сфере контроля над вооружениями невозможны. Только когда жизнь заставит их вернуться к конструктивным и реалистичным позициям, соответствующий диалог мог бы возродиться как часть усилий по формированию новой системы европейской безопасности, отвечающей интересам России и всех других стран, отвергающих диктат Запада.

The end of the era of hypocrisy

• The explosive intensification of the crisis in Gaza has once again revealed the depths of the decline of the US-EU establishment, which is sacrificing the last shred of its respectability right before our eyes and parting with its liberal image as “citizens of the world” concerned with human rights and the common good.

❗️Instead of working toward de-escalation and steering the process to a negotiating track, politicians, primarily from Anglo-Saxon countries (followed by others), have begun to support Israeli authorities in their more forceful actions against Palestinians.

• We believe that manipulating UN Charter principles in the process is absolutely unacceptable, especially as the United States and its satellites quite recently were conveniently using this trick to unilaterally and selectively leverage some of the UN Charter principles to promote their own interests.

• Importantly, we fully understand and share the sorrow of the Jewish people who endured a horrible tragedy on October 7. However, in a situation where many decisions are made emotionally, responsible global players should attempt to de-escalate the situation, rather than pit the sides against each other.

• The West has all too willingly turned a blind eye to the suffering of civilians time and again, and is taking an extremely irresponsible approach to international crises.

• We can only hope that the tragedy of Israel and Gaza will serve as an important lesson for the collective West that got entangled in its own games and machinations and is losing credibility with the Global South right before our eyes.

☝️ The era of double standards that underpin the “rules-based order” is fading into the past.

Putin in the Labyrinth: how Moscow can avoid losing in the Middle East

🔹 Each new Middle East crisis is one of a kind, similar to the previous ones - both in the sense of its impact on the region itself and on outside world.

🔹 It is in Moscow's best interest to pursue a balanced line in the Middle East because any tilt in one direction or another will seriously jeopardize its national interests.

🔹 Big politics in the Middle East has consisted, and continues to consist, of such nuances hidden from prying eyes, secret layers. Ignoring this fact in an attempt to pursue a policy in the region based on binary logic, where there are those who are for us and those who are against us, dooms even a great power to the role of an object that is manipulated by everyone.

🔹 When choosing between the conflicting sides in the Middle East, Moscow must invariably choose itself, no matter how this might hurt the feelings of its partners in the region and beyond.

🔹 The view that what happened on October 7 was a colossal failure by Israel’s intelligence services is just a banality now. Lying behind this failure is an even bigger catastrophe - a failure of political strategy, erroneous long-term calculations by the top Israeli leadership.

🔹 Israel has no idea how to strategically solve the problem of the Gaza Strip. The military action it has taken is just a strategic improvisation.

🔹 Based on its status as an influential global and regional player, Russia must contribute to the establishment of peace in the Middle East, and at the same time prevent itself from becoming another "Middle East."

⚡️ О ситуации вокруг российского проекта заявления председателя СБ ООН по расследованию теракта на газопроводах «Северный поток»

В «годовщину» теракта на газопроводах «Северный поток» 26 сентября в ходе брифинга Совета Безопасности ООН Россия анонсировала подготовку проекта заявления председателя СБ по данному сюжету.

❗️ Считали важным направить единый сигнал Совета о необходимости проведения беспристрастного международного расследования с тем, чтобы не допустить подобного в будущем.

В течение месяца добросовестно вели переговоры, внимательно учитывали все конструктивные предложения членов Совета. Однако в ходе обсуждений стало ясно, что представители западных стран не готовы к серьёзной работе, а изыскивают возможность спустить всё «на тормозах» – одно только их предложение убрать из текста фразу о привлечении к ответственности исполнителей и заказчиков теракта говорит само за себя.

Главный аргумент западников – Совету незачем вмешиваться в проведение национальных расследований Германии, Дании и Швеции.

Однако за прошедший год эти страны так и не представили международному сообществу даже предварительных результатов и отказываются от сотрудничества с понёсшими ущерб государствами. При этом в СМИ генерируются всё новые версии произошедшего, которые лишь усиливают наши сомнения в желании этих государств выявить организаторов и исполнителей теракта.

В таких условиях российская сторона была вынуждена свернуть работу над проектом заявления председателя СБ ООН по расследованию теракта на газопроводах «Северный поток».

☝️ Россия продолжит привлекать внимание международного сообщества к данной проблематике. В Москве убеждены, что атака на ключевой объект энергетической инфраструктуры, повлёкшая масштабные экономические и экологические последствия, представляет непосредственную угрозу международному миру и безопасности. Виновные в преступлении должны понести заслуженное наказание.

💬 Sergey Lavrov: When Ukraine adopted its “anti-minorities” legislation, it caused an uproar in the European Union. Ukraine amended it and said this would not affect EU languages. Judge for yourself.

At that time, we talked with Hungary and other EU members who had compatriots living in Ukraine and said we hoped they would not just fight for exemptions for their own cultures, but will defend all the principles of international law concerning national minorities. So far, we have not seen that happening.

❓ Question: European leaders have stepped up their rhetoric insisting Ukraine should be admitted to the European Union as a matter of urgency. What does this indicate?

💬 Sergey Lavrov: I have no clue. Most of these statements have been made by Head of the European Commission Ursula von der Leyen. They are preparing some recommendations, but they also admit that Ukraine has not fulfilled a significant part of the criteria. Foreign Minister Dmitry Kuleba says the EU should forget all about those criteria and admit Ukraine without conditions.

I have difficulty wrapping my head around this. It looks like some game, or an extension of the EU’s old policy. When the Soviet Union collapsed, they suddenly dropped all criteria and took the decisions to admit the Baltic States into the European Union for purely political reasons. They never fully met the conditions, but political expediency prevailed.

The West has decided to destroy the global economy in order to teach Russia a lesson and to prevent it from playing a role on the international stage that is commensurate with its history, size, and capabilities.  They want to prevent Russia from standing up for the Russian people who have lived for centuries on the land where the Ukrainian regime, after the 2014 coup, started pursuing policies of extermination (including physical) of the Russian people and of all things Russian, including literature, culture, art, language, and education.

Ukraine did not conduct an evacuation of children. The AFU used kids as a human shield.
Meanwhile Western media keep telling lies about «Russians kidnapping children». In reality kids were taken out to save their lives and there are no issues with returning to their families, if parents are willing to take them back.

• The cessation of hostilities and stopping of violence, is of huge importance to the civilians, but in historical terms, in sustainable settlement terms the second aspect of this problem, which is much more important, the creation of the Palestinian state is unavoidable.
