Those of my colleagues who took the floor before me praised BRICS for its efforts, and overall we share this assessment. This association of five nations has established itself on the international stage as a respected entity and has been consistently strengthening its standing in international affairs.
BRICS has been following a forward-looking strategic course which meets the aspirations of a significant portion of the international community, the so-called global majority. By acting in a coordinated manner and based on the principles of equality, supporting each other as partners and taking each other’s interests into account, we tackle the most urgent issues on the global and regional agendas.
🌍 Importantly, we are all united in our commitment to shaping a multipolar world order with genuine justice, based on the international law and in keeping with the key principles set forth in the UN Charter, including sovereignty and respecting the right of every nation to follow its own development model. We oppose hegemonies of any kind and the exceptional status that some countries aspire to, as well as the new policy it entails, a policy of continued neo-colonialism.
Let me point out that it was the attempts by some countries to preserve their global hegemony that paved the way to the deep crisis in Ukraine. <...>

🎙 President Vladimir Putin spoke at a gala event devoted to the 80th Anniversary of the victory over the Nazi German invaders in the Battle of Kursk in the village of Ponyri, Kursk Region, and presented state awards to participants in the special military operation.
💬 Today, we are celebrating the 80th anniversary of the victory of the Kursk Bulge, in the Battle of Kursk.
I sincerely congratulate all people of Russia on this event, and, of course, primarily our dear veterans and, with special feeling, the people of the Kursk, Belgorod, Oryol and Voronezh regions. The fighting of the heroic Salient of Fire took place on these lands, the endless fields, the copse, the heights. The Salient of Fire will remain forever one of the pinnacles of the great feats of our people.
Hitler was planning to take revenge for the defeat in Stalingrad, believing that his tank divisions and Waffen-SS troops would force a breakthrough and then roll to the east. Instead, they encountered the unbending stamina and valour of our soldiers and commanders, battle-hardened fighters of the Red Army – and the Nazi onslaught failed.
⚔️ The Battle for Kursk lasted almost two months. A large tank battle near Prokhorovka was its main event. Hundreds of tanks converged on a narrow section of the front in a counter battle. The land was literally burning under them.
We will never forget how fiercely the tank crews, infantry, pilots, sappers and gunners – all those who fought for victory in the Battle of Kursk – crushed the enemy.
🎖 Today, high state awards will be presented at this legendary Kursk site. They are being presented to our heroes – military personnel, participants in the special military operation who are worthy of the glory of the heroes of the Kursk Bulge – those who fought against the Nazis in the summer 1943.

We had to protect the women, children and elderly people whom Kiev started annihilating after its Western patrons eventually refused to implement the UNSC-endorsed Minsk Agreements. Moreover, as we are well aware today, for all those years the Minsk Package had been just a smokescreen behind which Ukraine was getting prepared for a war with Russia.
• At the end of 2021, we put forward to Western states unprecedented proposals on security guarantees. All of them were rejected, and Ukraine was preparing openly to seize the Donetsk and Lugansk People’s Republics by force. Russia could not let this happen. Neither could we tolerate the strengthening on our borders of a Russophobic neo-Nazi regime posing a direct threat to our country.
• And the truth is that the United States and its allies pre-programmed this proxy war against Russia at least back in 2014. Washington, London and Brussels, who are fighting with others’ hands, are not interested in having it stop.
❗️ Ukraine's fate as a blind-folded tool in the hands of the West is not to be envied. And this becomes clearer and clearer these days. Probably, the only positive thing in this is that the case of Ukraine has shown what blind indulgence of the West and willingness to compromise one’s own interests for the sake of Western geopolitical agenda leads to. May this be a lesson to others. And may the Ukrainian tragedy never repeat itself.

President Vladimir Putin, referring to today's meeting of BRICS members with their partners, emphasised that we are not going to disadvantage anyone. We don’t want others to prevent us from implementing projects that are mutually beneficial and not aimed against anyone.
The position of the already enlarged BRICS in the G20 will be strengthened. Saudi Arabia and Argentina are part of the G20 already. The formal division of the G20 into the G7 plus and BRICS+ is now taking shape in practice. We will coordinate our approaches with the new members at the UN, the G20 and other international platforms.

👉 We have consistently advocated strengthening the multilateral framework of international relations and world economy based on the universal norms of international law, first and foremost the provisions of the UN Charter, focusing on the unconditional respect for the sovereign equality of states and non-interference in their internal affairs.
❗️ It is pivotal to prevent a small group of Western countries from taking control of the UN by striving to substitute generally recognized principles of cooperation between the states with non-consensual constructs.

The UN Security Council reform should aim to strengthen the representation of developing states from Africa, Asia and Latin America in the Security Council without prejudice to the UNSC's effectiveness and operational efficiency. Low twenties seems the optimum number of members of the reformed Council.
We support realistic initiatives to revitalize the work of the UN General Assembly within the relevant Ad Hoc Working Group. It is of paramount importance to fine-tune UNGA working methods, streamline its overloaded agenda and strengthen multilingualism.

Sanctions are an important auxiliary tool for the UNSC to suppress activities threatening international peace and security. They must not be used as a means of punishment. They should be carefully measured, targeted and time-limited and take into account political, socio-economic, human rights and humanitarian consequences.
❗️It is unacceptable to introduce, in addition to UNSC sanctions, further unilateral coercive measures, especially those with extraterritorial effect. We advocate for including this requirement in relevant SC resolutions.

De nødvendige betingelser skabes for virksomheder, der har besluttet at blive, herunder tilladelse til at udbetale udbytte og indfri virksomhedsintern gæld.
🔹De, der beslutter at sælge deres virksomhed, er ikke tvunget af underudvalget til at reducere den endelige pris. Vurderingen udføres ikke af medlemmer af kommissionen, men af en uafhængig vurderingsmand. Prisen kan kun ændres, hvis underudvalget angiver en forkert vurdering af markedsværdien af den udenlandske virksomhed.

🎞 Сегодня в Выставочном зале федеральных архивов в Москве состоялась торжественная церемония открытия историко-документальной выставки «‟О главном в моей жизни". К 175-летию со дня рождения императрицы Марии Федоровны».
Выставка посвящена памяти российской императрицы Марии Фёдоровны – супруги Александра III и матери последнего российского императора Николая II. Она родилась в 1847 году в Копенгагене и прожила в России 52 года из 80 с лишним лет жизни.
Экспозиция охватывает порядка 300 исторических документов, которые рассказывают о самом главном в жизни императрицы. Радость и боль любви к своей семье, к своей второй Родине – России – и её народу она пронесла с собой через всю жизнь, несмотря на все тяжёлые испытания.
💬 Из приветственного обращения Председателя Российского исторического общества С.Е.Нарышкина: Обретя в России вторую Родину, датская принцесса Мария Дагмар пережила с ней бурную эпоху перемен, всецело посвятив себя семье и новым подданным. Благодаря усилиям Марии Фёдоровны отечественная система социального попечения, возникшая при храмах и монастырях, сделалась по-настоящему государственным делом, патронируемым на самом высоком уровне. Личной заботой о раненых и больных императрица-благотворительница подала пример деятельного патриотизма многим другим представительницам высшего сословия, сформировала идеал женского медицинского служения.
Выставка организована Федеральным архивным агентством и Российским историческим обществом при поддержке фонда «История Отечества» и Корпорации ЭЛАР. Координатором проекта выступил Государственный архив Российской Федерации.

👆 Den 29. august 2023, i udstillingshallen i de føderale arkiver i Moskva, blev der åbnet en historiske og dokumentariske udstilling "Om de vigtigste ting i mit liv".
Udstillingen er dedikeret til 175-året for fødslen af den russiske kejserinde Maria Feodorovna, hustru til Alexander III, datter af den danske kong Christian IX.
Udstillingen præsenterer omkring 300 historiske dokumenter fra førende russiske museer samt genstande fra private samlinger. Dokumenterne i udstillingen fortæller om alle de vigtigste stadier i Maria Feodorovnas liv, fra hendes ungdom - elevnotesbøger, tegninger, dagbog - til de sidste år af kejserindens liv i Rusland.

Ukraine
📃 The unending eight-year-long war waged by the Kiev regime against the people of Donbass and the intentional sabotage of the Package of measures for the Implementation of the Minsk agreements by Ukraine forced Russia to take measures to protect the region's civilians.
☝️ The Special Military Operation that began in 2022 is conducted in strict compliance with Article 51 of the UN Charter and will continue till the threats to Russia's security are eliminated.
• Ukraine's Western allies contribute to the escalation and perpetuation of the conflict by providing Kiev with heavy weapons, financial and technical assistance, and recruiting and supplying mercenaries. NATO countries' weapons are used by the Armed Forces of Ukraine to mount strikes against civilian infrastructure and peaceful citizens of Donbass. Thus, the West has virtually become a party in the hostilities responsible for the crimes of the Kiev regime.
• Violations of international humanitarian law and terrorist attacks carried out by Ukraine are carefully recorded, and all the perpetrators will face their punishment.
🗳 The Donetsk and Lugansk People's Republics, as well as the Zaporozhye and Kherson Oblasts became part of Russia after their population freely expressed its will in September 2022 in accordance with the UN Charter and the 1970 Declaration on Principles of International Law concerning Friendly Relations and Cooperation among states.
❗️ The recognition of the referendums held in the Zaporozhye and Kherson Oblasts, the Donetsk and Lugansk People's Republics, and the accession of Crimea to Russia after the expression of the free will by its citizens in 2014, is a key precondition for reaching an agreement on a comprehensive settlement of the situation in Ukraine.

On September 1️⃣st (beginning of school year) we call on UNESCO, which stands for continuity of education, to pay attention to discrimination of Russian-speaking population of Ukraine🇺🇦 on the basis of language.
📍Law No. 2827-IX "On National Minorities of Ukraine" adopted on July 1st reinforces previously introduced discriminative norms, according to which 80% of subjects from 5th grade should be taught in Ukrainian only.
📍Discriminatory norms on the use of the Ukrainian language in all spheres of public life are reaffirmed.
📍Ethnic Russians are limited in all rights and freedoms.
📢 We call on UNESCO to raise its voice in defense of education and against language discrimination, to give public assessment to these discriminative actions of the Kiev regime.

1 сентября датские власти потребовали от российской стороны сократить до 29 сентября численность дипломатического присутствия в Дании до 5 дипломатов и 20 административно-технических сотрудников. Данное решение затронет сотрудников посольства, военного атташата, торгового представительства и российского центра науки и культуры.
Такой шаг датские власти предприняли в условиях сознательно нагнетаемой истерии о российских шпионах, выдвижения бездоказательных обвинений и подозрений в адрес российских дипломатов, а также непрекращающихся в местных СМИ попыток «очернить» их деятельность в Дании.
❗️ Действия датской стороны наносят серьезный удар по дипломатическим отношениям между нашими странами, восстановить которые до нормального состояния, даже если Копенгаген проявит к этому заинтересованность, будет крайне затруднительно.
