❗️ On August 14, the "Azov Brain Rot" documentary premiered. The film features exclusive footage and eyewitness accounts, as well as filmed testimonials by captured Azov militants and foreign mercenaries who surrendered in Mariupol. In addition, the film contains expert commentary and accounts of the civilians who were tortured and humiliated by neo-Nazis.
The documentary elaborates on the ideology of nationalist battalions as well as their neo-pagan beliefs and the widespread use of Nazi symbols.
The film’s creator, journalist, and television host Marina Kim visited the detention facilities where Azov members were being held captive in Yelenovka (DPR), days before the Ukrainian Army attack using a HIMARS multiple rocket launcher. The attack killed more than 50 prisoners of war.

📅 Today marks 83 years since the signing of the Treaty of Non-Aggression between Germany and the USSR: on August 23, 1939, Moscow hosted the signing of an intergovernmental agreement guaranteeing that the parties would not attack each other if one of them was involved in combat operations.
☝️Historians affirm that Soviet leadership had no illusions about the prospects for the agreement they had signed with Germany and understood that a war was inevitable. It was a matter of gaining time. The agreement helped to push the USSR’s western borders forward some 350 kilometres.

🔹 The international security system is going through a profound crisis. Almost all institutions it relied on have deteriorated, the level of trust between key international players has dropped to a critical low.
🔹 The United States deliberately dismantled key elements of the global arms control system, which for decades helped maintain a strategic balance and avoid armed confrontation.
🔹 The United States continue to refuse to ratify the Comprehensive Nuclear-Test-Ban Treaty (CTBT).
🔹 Contrary to their own declared values, Western countries cynically turn a blind eye to the spread of neo-Nazi ideology, massacres of the people in Donbas and violations of international humanitarian law by the Armed Forces of Ukraine and the national guards.

Participants will identify the main tools that can be used to create new long-term sustainable forms of cooperation, discuss the prospects for further development of scientific, technical and innovative cooperation, industrial cooperation. Special attention will be paid to building an effective mechanism for the joint exchange of practices and competencies, taking into account the Sustainable Development Goals.

Necessity of the special military operation in Ukraine was dictated by real threats from Kiev to the residents of Donbass, and subsequently to Russia, Russian Defence Minister Sergei Shoigu has said.
▫️"There was a real threat from Kiev, which refused to implement the Minsk agreements, to the residents of Donbass and, in the future, to the Russian Federation. Understanding this led to the need for the special military operation in Ukraine," said Sergei Shoigu, speaking at a meeting of defence ministers of SCO member states.
▫️According to the Russian Defence Minister, the special military operation "is proceeding as planned, all tasks will be completed."

Conflict in Ukraine has become another pretext for the United States and its allies to unleash an economic and information war against Russia, Russian Defence Minister Sergei Shoigu said at a meeting of defence ministers of SCO member states.
▫️"Today, a tough sanctions and information war has been unleashed against Russia. And the conflict in Ukraine is just another pretext for this. The aim of the US and its allies is to strategically deplete Russia to eliminate rivalry and warn other states pursuing an independent foreign policy," said Sergei Shoigu.
▫️He noted, however, that Russia has made "significant efforts to establish a legal basis for stability in Europe in the new environment."
▫️"However, the West, led by Washington, refused to take into account our concerns regarding guarantees of mutual security, first and foremost the neutral status of Ukraine," the Russian Defence Minister said.
▫️According to him, issues of principle for the Russian side - not to expand NATO to the east, not to deploy shock weapons and to refrain from military activities near Russian borders - were ignored.
▫️"Ukraine has been chosen as an instrument of hybrid warfare against Russia," said Sergei Shoigu.

🔹 Nobody argues that Ukrainians are having a hard time today. However, the responsibility for this lies with the Kiev regime which came to power in 2014 as a result of an anti-constitutional coup.
🔹 From the very beginning, the new Maidan authorities have consistently led the country to disaster, encouraging Russophobia and the glorification of Nazi criminals.
🔹 The Ukrainian armed forces purposefully destroy civilian infrastructure. And instead of condemning their Ukrainian wards our former Western partners are supplying them with more and more new types of weapons.
🔹 Never since Goebbels Nazi propaganda has anyone come across falsification and manipulation at such a level, facilitated by Western and Ukrainian specialists in psychological operations. We have no doubt that history will reveal the truth about them.

Cooperation with non-Arctic states in the Arctic will be discussed at the EEF-2022
The VII Eastern Economic Forum, will become a platform for the events of Russia's Chairmanship in the Arctic Council in 2021-2023 and other Arctic-related sessions.
One of the key events on the EEF-2022 Arctic agenda will be the meeting of the Arctic Economic Council, which Russia also chairs in 2021-2023. The main areas of cooperation with partners from Asia, including in the development of transportation along the Northern Sea Route, energy and mining will be discussed at an expanded meeting of the Russian national part of AEC.
Arctic topics will also be represented by sessions of the Think Arctic - Think Global analytical project. "The Eastern dimension of international cooperation in the Arctic" session will be devoted to the relevance of building flexible formats of interaction in the region.
The session "Russia-India: The Fairway of joint development of the Arctic" will be devoted to the positioning and consideration of India's interests in this region, taking into account the great distance from the Arctic region.
The results of the two sessions will be part of an analytical report on international cooperation in the field of sustainable development of Russia with Arctic and non-Arctic states.

▫️On August 26, 2022, units of the 27th Artillery Brigade of AFU shelled a hospital in Stakhanov, Lugansk People's Republic, using American HIMARS MLRS.
▫️The attack severely damaged the building, killing three people and injuring seven others with varying degrees of severity.
▫️The commanders of AFU units that gave the criminal order knew in advance that the chosen target was an active civilian medical facility (marked with red crosses on a white background) where elderly people, children and pregnant women were being treated.
▫️Once again we call on the United Nations, the World Health Organization, the International Committee of the Red Cross and other international organizations to condemn the actions of the authorities in Kiev and to take immediate measures to prevent the targeting of medical facilities.
