⚡️Ukrainian armed formations continue to use medical infrastructure facilities to equip strong points and deploy heavy weapons in them:
🔹in Borovsky, Lugansk People's Republic, wounded militants of Ukrainian nationalist formations are housed in the polyclinic building on Krasnaya Street. Civilians, including seriously ill, were forced to leave the medical facility under threat of reprisals, and at all approaches to the polyclinic, units of the Armed Forces of Ukraine deployed checkpoints and equipped the firing points;
🔹in Lisichansk of the Lugansk People's Republic, the buildings of the children's hospital on 40 Let Pobedy Street and the medical college on Chernovaya Street are equipped with a strongpoint of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, and heavy weapons are placed on the adjacent territory.
▫️These and other similar facts, gross violations of the norms of international humanitarian law, despite our repeated statements, have so far been ignored by the World Health Organization.
❗️Once again, we call on all international organizations, and, first of all, the World Health Organization, to influence official Kiev and take effective measures aimed at preventing the use of medical infrastructure facilities by the Armed Forces for military purposes.

⚡️According to reliable information in the Kharkov region, neo-Nazis, together with members of the Security Service of Ukraine, conduct punitive raids in order to check local residents for signs of pro-Russian views, as well as the facts of transmitting any information to Russian servicemen and representatives of the People's militia of the republics of Donbass.
❗️All suspects are arrested under the category of "collaborationism" of the Criminal Code of Ukraine and taken to an unknown location.
▫️Such criminal actions of the Kiev authorities are aimed at intimidating the citizens of Ukraine in an attempt to hide the current catastrophic situation in the country caused by the destructive policy of official Kiev, and indicate complete indifference to the fate of millions of Ukrainians.

🇷🇺🇫🇮 Vladimir Putin had a telephone conversation with President of Finland Sauli Niinisto
🔸The presidents had a sincere exchange of views over the announced decision by Finland’s leadership to apply for NATO membership.
🔸Vladimir Putin stressed that rejecting the traditional policy of military neutrality would be wrong since there are no threats to Finland’s security. Such a change in the country’s foreign policy course could have a negative effect on Russia-Finland relations, which have been built over the course of many years in the spirit of neighbourliness and partnership cooperation and have a mutually beneficial nature.
🔸The leaders also discussed the situation in Ukraine. In particular, Vladimir Putin shared his opinion of the state of the negotiating process between Russian and Ukrainian representatives. This process has been practically put on hold by Kiev, which does not show any interest in a serious and constructive dialogue.
The conversation took place at the initiative of the Finnish side.

📅 Four years ago, the Crimea Bridge was officially opened connecting the peninsula with mainland Russia across the Kerch Strait. This huge infrastructure project became a token of Crimea’s reunification with our country and gave a powerful boost to the socioeconomic progress of the peninsula.
🚗 The 19-kilometre bridge, Europe’s longest, has two parallel parts – railway tracks and automobile lanes. Only the automobile part of the facility was commissioned in May 2018. Cargo traffic on the bridge was opened in the autumn of the same year whereas passenger trains were launched in December 2019. A regular commuter train traffic was launched in March 2020 between Kerch and Anapa thereby making the regions of the Federation popular with tourists as close as possible.
📈 In 2021, Crimea bridge was crossed by 5.3 million vehicles including 810,000 lorries and almost 50,000 busses. Overall, 18 million vehicles passed through the automobile part of the bridge since its launch.

Key takeaways from todays’ UN Security Council meeting on US biolabs in Ukraine:
1. The US refuses to explain its engagement in military bio activities in Ukraine. Keeps shrugging off several hundred pages of evidence. “These are all lies and Russia’s propaganda, and we are good guys because it can’t be otherwise”. Not a word on the point of discussion.
2. Western delegations are praising the Biological Weapons Convention (BWC) and calling on us to make use of its mechanisms. They fail to mention however that it is the US who is blocking the elaboration of BWC verification mechanism. Such a hypocricy!
3. The US refuses to explain why it doesn’t want an effective international verification mechanism for bio weapons. Why act like this unless you are trying to conceal something? Why does Washington position itself above the international law? American exceptionalism at its best.
Main conclusion: we have definitely hit their soft spot. It’s clear for any unbiased observer that they are obscuring the issue and trying to divert attention from this uncomfortable topic trying to discourage us to raise it by repeating mantras on “Russian aggression” etc.
So stay tuned, there’s more evidence on US military biological programs to follow!

💬 Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov’s statement and answers to media questions following the CIS Foreign Ministers Council meeting.
📍 Dushanbe, May 13, 2022
☝️ The CIS countries unanimously confirmed their commitment to cooperation in this format. All of them want the CIS to grow more influential. This will be facilitated by today’s decision to consider in practical terms the CIS’s request to the Collective Security Treaty Organisation to grant it observer status at the #CSTO.
🇦🇫 Obviously, #Afghanistan needs to be rebuilt. We must not let the situation collapse and destabilise again. It would be hard on the Afghan people who had been suffering under NATO’s presence for twenty years.

💬 Sergey Lavrov: I would like to congratulate you on the 3️⃣0️⃣th anniversary of the Council on Foreign and Defence Policy. Its activities are a fine example of Russian expert involvement in the foreign policy process.
▫️ We did everything in our power to avoid a direct conflict. But they issued a challenge and we have accepted it.
▫️ We do not remember anything like the current massive and synchronised expulsion of diplomats happening even in the grimmest Cold War years.
▫️ There are no traitors among our diplomats, although such attempts have been made from abroad and within the country.
▫️ The Americans started preparing the current crisis long ago, right after the end of the Cold War, having decided that the way to global hegemony was then open. NATO's eastward expansion has been one of the key components of such a course.

🇸🇪 On May 16, the Government of Sweden made the decision to apply for NATO membership.
Russia has repeatedly stated that the choice of ways to ensure national security is an internal affair of any country.
Stockholm’s foreign policy has been based on neutrality for over 200 years and for decades remained an important factor in ensuring stability and trust in the Baltic Sea region.
❗️Sweden’s accession to NATO will inflict considerable damage to the security of Northern Europe and Europe as a whole. The Russian Federation will have to take response measures, both military-technical and others, to curb the threats to its national security which arise in this context. In this respect, much will depend on the specific conditions of Sweden’s integration into the North Atlantic Alliance, including the potential deployment of strike systems of this military bloc on its territory.

The Kremlin hosted a CSTO summit
The meeting was attended by the heads of Russia, Armenia, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan and Tajikistan.
Vladimir Putin noted the strengthening of the CSTO as an effective regional defence agency that ensures security and stability in the Eurasian space.
“The CSTO's successful peacekeeping operation, held in Kazakhstan in January 2022, showed the maturity of our Organisation and its real ability to adequately withstand acute challenges and threats,” the Russian President noted.
The President also emphasised:
“During the special operation in Ukraine, documentary evidence was obtained that components of biological weapons were developed in close proximity to our borders, which violates the Biological and Toxin Weapons Convention, and possible methods and mechanisms were worked out to destabilise the epidemic situation in the post-Soviet space."
