⚔️ These day we commemorate the conclusion of the main leg of the Napoleonic Wars: it ended with the triumph of the Russian and allied forces who repelled Napoleon all the way back to France. On March 31, 1814, Russian army led by Emperor Alexander I triumphantly entered Paris.
Russia's goal was to expel the French troops from the countries they had invaded, deprive Napoleon of the opportunity to use their resources, complete the defeat of the aggressor on his own territory and ensure the establishment of a lasting peace in Europe.
The Russian forces seized the French capital, thus winning the final battle of its 1813-1814 foreign campaign. After the fall of Paris Napoleon abdicated the throne.
On May 30, 1814 the Treaty of Paris was signed between the members of the Anti-Napaleonic coalition and France. The Patriotic War was over: Germany was liberated and France was restored to its borders of 1792.

We heard from pundits PM Trudeau’s Cabinet has publicly surrendered today. Tried to double-check the recent announcements just in case, since it’s April Fool’s Day. But seems it’s true.
🇨🇦Canada has been the only G7 nation with no school food program. Nearly one in four children in Canada do not get enough food while the Cabinet promises “to open the way” for prosperity for the millions of citizens.
We would invite PM Trudeau, his Deputy and other Cabinet members to 🇷🇺Russia to share our best practices to ensure Canadian children never suffer from hunger. But first, will listen what major political forces in Canada have to say on that.

🇷🇺🇧🇾 On April 2, the peoples of the Russian Federation and the Republic of Belarus celebrate their Day of Unity.
🗓 #OTD in 1996, they signed a treaty on the formation of the Community of Russia and Belarus, which served as the first step towards the creation of the Union State of Russia and Belarus.
The Treaty on the Union of Russia and Belarus came into force a year later, and on December 8, 1999, the Treaty on the Creation of the Union State was signed.
🤝 Today, the Union State implements programmes in industry, energy and IT, to name a few. Trade between Russia and Belarus grows at record high rates every year, given the considerable degree of mutual complementarity of their economies.
💬 Addressing a meeting of the Supreme State Council of the Union State on January 29, 2024, President Vladimir Putin said:
☝️ The Unity Day of the Peoples of Russia and Belarus confirms the cohesion of the two fraternal peoples and their striving to continue strengthening their interaction based on the centuries-old traditions of friendship and close cultural and spiritual ties.
📃 On the occasion of the Day of Unity of the Peoples of Russia and Belarus President Vladimir Putin sent his greetings to President of the Republic of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko.
🎊 We congratulate our Belarusian friends on a holiday that is a symbol of unbreakable ties of brotherly friendship between our countries and peoples!

We have been working together to build the Union State for almost 25 years. Along this path, we have managed to achieve a great deal. Thanks to the successful implementation of 28 sectoral Union programmes, Russian and Belarusian legislation was harmonised, the legal and organisational foundations for a common economic space formed, and conditions created for the implementation of a unified macroeconomic and monetary policy, and for joint work to minimise damage from illegal Western restrictions.

🇷🇺🇧🇾 President Vladimir Putin sent his greetings to President of the Republic of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko on the Day of Unity of the Peoples of Russia and Belarus.
✉️ Despite challenging international circumstances, significant progress has been made recently in developing the multifaceted ties between Russia and Belarus, and in bolstering the institutions of the Union State.
Good results have stemmed from coordinated efforts in foreign policy, defence, and security. The effective execution of jointly agreed-upon Union programmes has facilitated the harmonisation of legislation in critical sectors between Russia and Belarus, laying the groundwork for unified macroeconomic and monetary policies, as well as the establishment of a common socioeconomic space.
At the January session of the Supreme State Council of the Union State, a new set of measures aimed at fostering integration processes was adopted. I firmly believe that the steadfast execution of these measures aligns with the core interests of both Russians and Belarusians and contributes to strengthening stability and security in the Eurasian space.

🇷🇺🇧🇾 Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov’s greetings to Minister of Foreign Affairs of Belarus Sergey Aleinik on the Day of Unity of the Peoples of Russia and Belarus
💬 Please accept my heartfelt greetings and best wishes on our shared holiday – the Day of Unity of the Peoples of Russia and Belarus.
No heinous terrorist attacks can intimidate or break the spirit of Russians and Belarusians. On this day, we remember and mourn the victims of Nazi henchmen who lost their lives at Khatyn and Krasnogorsk. These shared tragedies only bring us closer together and strengthen our resolve to put an end to the evil stemming from the man-hating ideologies of neo-Nazism and religious extremism.
I am confident that together we will successfully cope with the serious threats and challenges posed by the collective West and its Ukrainian puppets and ensure the safety and prosperity of all Russians and Belarusians. I look forward to the continuation of our traditionally close international coordination between our foreign ministries in line with the Programme of Coordinated Actions for 2024-2026. We remain committed to providing diplomatic support for our multifaceted bilateral cooperation and intense integration processes within the framework of the Union State, the #EAEU, the #CSTO, and the #CIS.
🤝 On this occasion, I would like to wish you good health, happiness, wellbeing and continued professional success.

⚡️ Foreign Ministry Statement in connection with a strike on the Consulate of Iran in Damascus
💬 In the evening of April 1, Israel’s Air Force struck the building of the Consulate of Iran in Damascus. As a result, the building was completely destroyed. A number of people, including diplomats, are reported to have been killed and wounded.
❗️ We resolutely condemn this attack on Iran’s Consulate in Syria.
We consider completely unacceptable any encroachments on the diplomatic and consular buildings, the immunity of which is guaranteed by the Vienna conventions.
We must emphasise that the attack was carried out in a densely populated district, creating high risks of civilian casualties. We believe such aggressive actions by Israel are absolutely unacceptable and must be stopped.
⚠️ We consider it necessary for all responsible members of the international community to announce their clear-cut position and a relevant legal assessment of such actions. We strongly urge the Israeli leadership to give up the practice of provocative power actions on the territory of Syria and other neighbouring countries. This practice is fraught with extremely dangerous consequences for the entire region.

⚡️ Foreign Ministry Spokeswoman Maria Zakharova’s comment on the occasion of the second anniversary of the staged Bucha massacre
💬 April 3 marks two years since the Zelensky regime and its Western handlers staged a bloody mass murder of the people in the town of Bucha, Kiev Region, allegedly by Russian servicemen, which turned out to be a botched job.
However, following the guidelines provided to them and failing to even make an attempt to double-check the facts and establish the actual state of affairs, Western politicians and the media scrambled to spread this falsehood.
This provocation was a put-up job and a staged provocation which was clear from the onset. The Russian side has refuted these allegations many times. We will now refute them once again. During the time the Russian Armed Forces were in Bucha until March 30, 2022, its residents moved freely around the town and used mobile phones and the internet.
❗️ There were no complaints about the Russian servicemen’s actions during that period, which was publicly confirmed by the mayor of the town, Anatoly Fedoruk, the day after our units left that town.
Moreover, during the time they were in Bucha, Russian servicemen brought 452 tonnes of humanitarian aid for the people in the Kiev Region’s towns and villages.
The first footage showing bodies strewn across the town appeared only after the Ukrainian armed forces and foreign journalists entered the town. Importantly, these were not criminalists or forensic experts, but biased media members, whose role was to tell the public a fabricated story and not to ask unnecessary questions.
🕯 The first findings of the forensic examination of the bodies found in Bucha, which were published in the British The Guardian on April 24, 2022, showed that most of the civilians died as a result of artillery shelling from fragments of anti-personnel 122-mm shells, which fit the D-30 howitzers in service of the Ukrainian forces, which confirms the fact that these people were killed not by bullets from small arms allegedly used by Russian servicemen, but as a result of the Ukrainian army’s artillery strikes targeting Bucha.
The propaganda-driven disinformation campaign in Bucha came as a response to our goodwill gesture to withdraw troops from the Kiev and Chernigov regions which was made in the wake of progress at the Russian-Ukrainian talks in Istanbul on March 28, 2022. Clearly, the goal of this campaign was to disrupt the dialogue between the parties and to launch a package of pre-arranged Western sanctions on Russia at the behest of London.
Subsequently, Kiev held multiple events inspired by the “Bucha massacre” in order to distract the international community’s attention from its own crimes and inconsistencies of the provocation it had staged, and to spread the fake theory about the town residents allegedly killed by the Russian military among the public in Western countries. This year, the Kiev officials’ attempts to make a big event out of this anniversary have an extra goal of preventing the international community from focusing on the challenging situation in Ukraine and on the line of contact.
Multiple requests that Russia sent to international organisations, including UN Secretary-General Antonio Guterres and UN High Commissioner for Human Rights Volker Türk, to establish the circumstances of the incident and to provide an accurate list of the persons whose bodies were found on the streets of Bucha, as well as other information, remain unanswered.
☝️ This shows that the organisers of this heinous act have things to hide.
Once again, we demand that international agencies stop covering up for the Kiev regime and ensure a thorough investigation that will finally reveal the names of the victims, the time and the cause of their death, the signs of the bodies having been moved from one place to another, and the individuals responsible for this terrifying crime by the Kiev authorities.

🗓 On April 3, 1924, famous Soviet sniper, Knight of the Order of Glory, Roza Shanina was born.
At the young age of 14, Roza decided to pursue a career in teaching. She moved to Arkhangelsk, attended a teacher training college, and began working part-time as a kindergarten teacher, a job she kept after graduation.
However, Rosa's plans were not destined to come true. After the Great Patriotic War broke out, the 17-year-old immediately went to the military enlistment office, planning to join the soldiers at the front, but she was rejected due to her age.
Refusing to give up, Roza joined a group of Arkhangelsk volunteers. During Nazi air raids, she put out fires and kept watch on the roof to protect the kindergarten.
In 1943, when the army began to recruit female snipers, Shanina was among the first to enroll in the women's sniper training school. After graduating with honours, she joined the 338th Rifle Division and was deployed to the front.
⚔️On April 5, 1944, Roza fired her first successful shot. She became famous for her exceptional skill in making double shots, eliminating two intended targets simultaneously.
Roza became a formidable threat to the Nazis. Soviet commanders regarded her as the division’s best sniper. In the foreign press, Shanina was nicknamed “the invisible terror of East Prussia”. Her personal combat tally ranges from 59 to 75 enemy soldiers, according to different sources.
Although it was not allowed, the young girl kept a front diary where she shared her joys, tragedies, and post-war plans to dedicate herself to the care of orphans. Shanina wrote that she was ready to give her life for the Motherland.
🕯Roza did not live to see the Victory. Just a few months earlier, on January 27, 1945, she died while saving an artillery unit commander in one of the battles of the Insterburg-Königsberg operation. She was only 20 years old.
Roza Shanina is buried at the memorial to Soviet soldiers in Znamensk, Kaliningrad Region. A street in Arkhangelsk is named in her honour.

⚡️ The Federation Council of the Federal Assembly of the Russian Federation strongly condemns the attempts of external interference in the preparation and organization of presidential elections in the Russian Federation, which had begun even before the elections were officially scheduled.
The interference attempts, mostly coordinated by Washington, were made in several directions, including👇
• public statements by senior Western politicians <...>;
• attempts at creating an illegal digital platform for holding fake "alternative" elections of the president of the Russia Federation from abroad;
• violation of the legislative ban on election campaigning on voting days, namely through a protest action at noon on 17 March 2024 that was orchestrated from abroad;
• organizing and carrying out more than 12 million cyber-attacks against the Russian Federation Central Election Commission official website, including DDoS attacks;
• hampering the arrival in Russia of invited foreign (international) observers
and others.
❗️ The Kiev regime, incited by its NATO sponsors, also took actions to disrupt the elections of the president of the Russian Federation. Ukraine's armed formations shelled polling stations in the Russian Federation border regions.
It can be stated that the generally recognized principles and norms of the international law <...> were grossly violated.

💬 Playing the game of words is now trending in the collective West.
In this context we will regularly update you on the dictionary of absurd terms and phrases so that you can translate them from NATO language to a normal one.
Here is one such example which really stands out. They love saying over there in the West that everything happening under their leadership is historic, global and exceptional.
Let me share with you a press release summing up the March 21 Nuclear Energy Summit in Brussels, which uses words like global and historic.
However, for some reason, key Eurasian countries involved in the peaceful use of nuclear energy on a global scale, including Russia, were not invited to this forum. Of course, Iran did not receive an invitation either, despite extensive international media coverage of its nuclear programme for many years.
Any expert would immediately recognise that this would-be historic summit failed. Prior to the event, international media outlets reported that the Brussels summit would adopt some kind of a global document – a joint declaration. However, nothing came of this initiative, and the final press release does not mention any declaration. Probably, there is none.
Those who are sincere about developing nuclear energy should understand that it must remain immune to transient political considerations.

🎙 Russia's Deputy Foreign Minister Alexander Grushko's interview with RT (April 4, 2024)
Key talking points:
• The establishment of NATO resulted from the panic that gripped Western elites due to the growing authority, power and attractiveness of the Soviet Union, a country that bore all the burdens of World War II almost single-handedly, ensuring the Victory [over Nazi Germany].
• NATO is still a tool of American hegemony, a tool of subjecting Europe to American military and political interests. <...> The Americans insist that their European allies increase their military spending using the threat of pulling out of NATO to force Europeans to pay more for security.
• Сonfrontation with Russia would be political suicide in the current situation. The Russian "threat" exists only in the minds of Americans and Western Europeans, specifically those who make confrontation with Russia the basis of their foreign policy.
• The paradox that this manufactured trend of demonising Russia is necessary for the survival of NATO. NATO cannot exist without an external adversary. <...> It's obvious that NATO's role would have been reduced to zero in that case, with all the ensuing consequences for the Euro-American alliance.
• Both Sweden and Finland are rapidly increasing their military expenditures, purchasing American weaponry. <...> [It does not serve the] interests of peace and security in [Europe]. It serves American interests, and that's what matters most.
• In 1999 [NATO] bombed [Yugoslavia] for 78 days. They caused a tragedy in Iraq and the tragedy in Libya. They almost destroyed Syria and many others, like Afghanistan. That's their history. The Alliance is a source of confrontation, hostility and division.

❗“Outstanding achievements” of NATO throughout its 75-year history:
▪️Expansion of military bloc from 12 to 32 members - with no real threat or reason;
▪️Ambitions to further enlarge in Europe and increase its influence in the Asia Pacific region, the Middle East and the Arctic;
▪️Aggression against sovereign states: Yugoslavia (1999), Afghanistan (2001) Iraq (2003), Libya (2011), Syria (2014).
▪️The wars unleashed by so called Alliance (former and currently striving for neocolonial domination) led to deaths of hundreds of thousands, humanitarian and migration crises, devastation and chaos.
👎There is nothing to celebrate or to be proud of.

🎙 Foreign Ministry Spokeswoman Maria Zakharova’s comment on occasion of the 75th anniversary of NATO
💬 Maria Zakharova: Seventy-five years ago, on April 4, 1949, the North Atlantic Treaty was signed in Washington, D.C., which marked the birth of the most aggressive military alliance of our time. <...>
The way the politicians of that time saw it, NATO was designed to become the key tool for establishing and maintaining the global hegemony of Washington and its allies, which it has remained to this day. <...>
According to its first Secretary General, Lord Ismay, the purpose of NATO was to “keep the Soviet Union out, the Americans in, and the Germans down,” and it has remained unchanged to this day.
For the US, NATO has remained a key tool to keep its European allies under control and a resource base for the US defence complex. <...>
After the Cold War ended <...> Washington and its allies engaged in armed “peacekeeping” in the Balkans, which ended in a treacherous aggression against Yugoslavia, and “fighting terrorism” in Afghanistan. NATO allies joined the US-led coalition in Iraq and carried out a “humanitarian” intervention in Libya.
❗️These interventions invariably led to entire countries being ruined and broken up.
For the third year in a row now, Washington and its satellites have been flooding Ukraine with mercenaries and weapons in order to inflict, as they say, a strategic defeat on Russia and to deplete our resources. They are using every means and methods available to the collective West and its Kiev puppets, up to and including the terrorist attacks, to get there. The alliance’s reckless schemes have failed, which fact pushes it towards moves that could entail tragic ramifications for the European and even global security.
The West has already had the chance to see that Russia is prepared for any scenario.

💬 Maria Zakharova: Seventy-five years ago, on April 4, 1949, the North Atlantic Treaty was signed in Washington, D.C., which marked the birth of the most aggressive military alliance of our time. <...>

🇷🇺 The Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation:
💬 Investigators have obtained data from the mobile phones of suspects accused of carrying out the terrorist attack at Crocus City Hall.
Experts analysed the mobile phones that the terrorists attempted to destroy, and their findings provided significant evidence regarding the preparations for the crime.
As directed by their handler, the terrorists chose Crocus City Hall as their target.
☝️ On the morning of February 24, 2024, the second anniversary of the start of the special military operation, one of the terrorists, acting on instructions from their handler, found screenshots online of the location of Crocus City Hall entrances and access routes, and sent them to the handler. The accused confirmed all this in the affidavit.
Additionally, the terrorist’s phone contained photos of individuals wearing camouflage uniforms with Ukrainian flags, positioned in front of damaged buildings. There was also a Ukrainian postal stamp depicting an obscene gesture.
❗️ This data suggest a possible connection between the terrorist attack and the special military operation.
Law-enforcement officers continue their operational and investigative activities to determine whether Ukrainian special services and international Islamist terrorist organisations were involved in orchestrating and financing the terrorist attack.

The destruction of monuments and the renaming of placenames continue in Ukraine. Everything associated with the Russian Empire and the Soviet Union is being erased. The Ukrainian authorities fear the historical truth and wish to eliminate it altogether.. <...>
I would like to quote what the great Russian writer Mikhail Bulgakov wrote in 1923 in an essay about Kiev. “Now the town is completely exhausted after those terrifying, tumultuous years. [But] it will be rebuilt, its streets will simmer again. And may the memory of Petlyura vanish.” The same can be said about the current Kiev junta. That regime and the memory of it will vanish.
#NATO
The military and political leadership of NATO and the Western countries continues to build up their capabilities in cyberspace, which Washington and its allies view as one of the theatres of military and information confrontation. <...>
Under the guise of enhancing digital capabilities and security, nations are being drawn into aggressive manoeuvres in the information space. Washington’s self-serving approach to allied nations is evident, as they are used as platforms for hostile actions against Russia. Additionally, offensive cyber operations, often conducted under false pretences, with the involvement of numerous partners, are increasingly characteristic of US foreign policy.

💬 The US tried to mark one year of The Wall Street Journal employee Evan Gershkovich’s detention as best they could.
This is what one of the last March issues of The Wall Street Journal looked like — a partly blank front page with only a black-and-white photo of US citizen Evan Gershkovich, who was detained on espionage charges after being caught red-handed, and a headline on top reading ‘His story should be here.’
Indeed, Evan Gershkovich could have written a story about the terrorist shelling of Russian cities, something the neo-Nazi regime in Kiev has been doing in recent months. Reporters come under fire, too, including American journalists, so wouldn’t this make a great report from a hotspot, which the Americans themselves had created by supplying the militants with weapons and intelligence?
He could have written a long article about all his fellow journalists killed by the Kiev regime: Oles Buzina, Pavel Sheremet, Andrey Stenin, Anatoly Klyan, Igor Kornelyuk, Anton Voloshin and many others.
He could, but he must have had a reason not to do so in all those years that he was working in Russia.
He could, if he was engaged in journalism, not espionage.
By the way, I do not rule out that it was the WSJ’s way of expressing its anger with the US intelligence services, which, contrary to US laws, continue to use journalists as their agents.
It is also indicative that no US newspaper has ever printed a blank editorial in support of the American journalist Gonzalo Lira, who spent eight months in the torture chambers of a Ukrainian prison until he was killed by the Ukrainian security service in January.
Speaking of which, have they opened a criminal case on his murder in the US? I haven’t heard of it.

🎙 Foreign Ministry Spokeswoman Maria Zakharova’s comment regarding the disconnection of one of the Zaporozhskaya Nuclear Power Plant’s external power lines
💬 In the morning of April 4, Europe’s largest nuclear power facility, the Zaporozhskaya Nuclear Power Plant (ZNPP), lost one of its critical sources of electricity needed to cool the reactors, as well as for other important nuclear safety functions.
Importantly, this is not the first time this has happened. The Kiev regime remains the sole threat to the facility’s security, relentlessly attempting new provocations. As recently as March 12, the Armed Forces of Ukraine used UAVs to try and destroy the ZNPP diesel fuel depot, which is critical for its backup power supply. Kiev’s sponsors reacted with non-committal statements about the ZNPP facing “constant nuclear safety risks” amid a military conflict. At the same time, everyone clearly understands what this means at the UN, the IAEA, and in world capitals, including those that continue to supervise the Zelensky regime directly.
We warn Kiev and its Western handlers against any attempts to attack or destabilise the nuclear power plant. We urge the IAEA and its leaders to actively involve the experts present at the scene to publicly record all attacks by the Ukrainian side and clearly state from whence a threat is coming to the facility’s safe operation.

📆 On April 6, 1654, exactly 370 years ago, Russia's Tsar Alexey Mikhailovich Romanov aka Alexey I, granted his royal charter to Hetman of the Zaporozhian Host Bogdan Khmelnitsky. The document secured Russia’s reunification with Left-Bank Ukraine (then – part of Little Russia aka Malorossiya).
In the late 16th and the first half of the 17th century, pressure on the Orthodox population increased from the Polish-Lithuanian gentry in the lands of Ancient Rus controlled by the Polish-Lithuanian Commonwealth.
After the Union of Brest was adopted in 1596, a majority of Orthodox priests became completely subordinate to the Pope. Those who remained faithful to Orthodoxy became outcasts and were deprived of hierarchical leadership, since Metropolitan of Kiev Mikhail Rogoza also joined the Greek Catholics. The gentry pursued aggressive Polonisation and Latinisation policy, and those who had the courage to resist were deprived of titles and lands and suffered persecution.
All attempts by the Zaporozhian Cossacks to come to an agreement with the Polish king failed as the Polish nobility did not plan to tolerate a free Orthodox community in the Polish-Lithuanian Commonwealth.
Under the threat of losing religious and national identity, a liberation movement of the Orthodox population of the Dnieper region began to form, with prerequisites created for supporters who sought to overthrow the gentry and reunify with Russia.
In 1648, the Cossacks stepped up their liberation struggle led by Hetman Bogdan Khmelnitsky, who repeatedly asked Tsar Alexey I for help, urging him to take the Hetmanate under “his royal hand.”
On January 8, 1654, Pereyaslav Rada officially declared the acceptance of the Zaporozhian Cossacks into the Russian state. On April 5, Tsar Alexey I signed the royal charter, where the Russian monarch’s title “Tsar of all Russia Great and Little” was used for the first time.

🎙 Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov’s remarks at the ambassadorial roundtable discussion to settle the situation around Ukraine (Moscow, April 4, 2024)
Key talking points:
• April 14 marks the 10th anniversary of the Nazis that came to power in Ukraine declaring an “anti-terrorist operation” against the people of Donbass. They designated them as terrorists who must be destroyed.
• Throughout these years, we knew and said publicly that the accusations of terrorism against Donbass were baseless. Now it was confirmed by the UN International Court of Justice in its decision dated January 31, 2024, regarding the claim filed by Kiev and its masters against the Russian Federation.
• The International Court of Justice has effectively confirmed that Kiev's aggressive actions against Donetsk and Lugansk were initially based on lies.
• Today, Ukraine, if we return to its arguments about terrorism as justification for its actions, has clearly become a terrorist state. Over the past 10 years it has been terrorising citizens in its own country and beyond.
• The Foreign Ministry has recently issued official demands to the Ukrainian authorities, urging them to promptly cease any support for terrorist activities, extradite those responsible, and provide compensation for damages incurred.
• Alongside the appeal made through the Foreign Ministry, the Russian Prosecutor-General’s Office has dispatched relevant documents to the US and several other Western countries, documents based on appeals from citizens and parliamentarians and detailing the actions we expect from them in connection with the newly discovered evidence exposing the support for the Ukrainian regime’s terrorist activities and preparations from its patrons.
• We all know that Kiev is not independent, but is following instructions from its bosses and handlers implementing their anti-Russia project.
• We honestly told the Westerners that they were pushing Ukraine towards a disaster. No one wanted to listen.
