#Mariupol is coming back to life, recovering from the trauma and destruction the city had suffered under the neo-Nazis from the Azov battalion, who used civilians as human shields and civilian infrastructure as their fortified points.

👉 #See4Yourself, hear the residents of Mariupol, witnesses speak out.

🏢 Another 9 brand-new residential high-rises were commissioned: those who lost their apartments have received new flats (550 in this batch). The housing comes with children's playgrounds, schools and kindergartens - all included.

A monument commemorating the volunteer Ukrainian SS Division Galicia (1st Galician) was recently demolished at a cemetery in Oakville, Canada, near Toronto. This division participated in punitive operations against partisans and civilians, and met its ignominious end near Brody in 1944, in its first battle against the Red Army.

The Russian Foreign Ministry, Russian Embassy in Canada, and concerned activists and journalists have long called for the removal of this and many other memorials honouring Nazi followers. The demolition of the monument to SS soldiers in Canada was the first step towards eradicating the legacy of Ukrainian Nazis in the country.

For Ottawa to demonstrate its commitment to distancing itself from Ukraine’s Nazi past, further action must be taken to remove other monuments honouring Nazi collaborators, including those from OUN-UPA.

⚡️ State Duma Statement to the Bundestag of the Federal Republic of Germany regarding the participation of the Federal Republic of Germany in the Kiev regime’s crimes against civilians and damage to civilian infrastructure on the territory of the Russian Federation

📃 The deputies of the State Duma of the Federal Assembly of the Russian Federation consider it fundamentally important, timely and necessary to address German parliamentarians – members of the Bundestag of the Federal Republic of Germany – regarding the publication of information on the German military command’s discussion of the supply of Taurus cruise missiles to Ukraine and their use by Ukrainian armed formations to strike critical civilian infrastructure on the territory of Russia, including the Crimean bridge over the Kerch Strait.

The released audio recording makes it explicitly clear that the air force officers were assigned this task by one of the country’s top military and political leaders, probably Minister of Defense B. Pistorius. Thus, the course of encouraging the Kiev regime to expand the territory of the military conflict and to continue terrorizing civilians, enforced from Washington, finds support in Berlin as well.

<...>

❗️ In accordance with the Treaty on the Final Settlement with Respect to Germany dated September 12, 1990 <...>, the deputies of the State Duma call on the Bundestag to prevent actions that draw Germany into an armed conflict on the side of the fascist-terrorist Ukrainian regime.

The State Duma is convinced that the successful long-term experience of the Soviet-German and Russian-German settlements, the common sense of the German people and the parliamentarians who express their will, will prevent the disastrous direct armed confrontation between Germany and Russia and bring closer the beginning of a mutually beneficial political dialog for the sake of peace and well-being in Europe.

⚡️ Foreign Ministry statement on the second anniversary of returning the Zaporozhskaya NPP to Russian jurisdiction

💬 In March 2022, the Russian Armed Forces took the Zaporozhskaya Nuclear Power Plant under their protection during the special military operation. In late September 2022, the Donetsk and Lugansk people’s republics, and the Kherson and Zaporozhye regions held referendums and joined the Russian Federation as new entities. On October 5, 2022, the President of the Russian Federation signed Executive Order No. 711 On Specific Legal Provisions Governing Nuclear Energy Use in the Zaporozhye Region, which cemented the ZNPP’s status as a facility placed within Russia’s jurisdiction. This led to the establishment of the Zaporozhskaya NPP Operating Company to provide for the plant’s operation.

Immediately upon the plant’s reintegration into the Russian nuclear family, Kiev started threatening its safe and effective operation not only by staging relentless provocations against it and Energodar, its satellite city, but also by terrorising the plant’s staff and their families.

Given the station’s proximity to the line of contact, Russia invited experts from the IAEA Secretariat to the plant, and the first group arrived at the #ZNPP on September 1, 2022. Their core mission is to prevent security threats created by the Kiev regime.

Russia expresses its special gratitude to IAEA Director General Rafael Grossi who, at our invitation, has visited Russia 12 times since March 2022, including four visits to the Zaporozhskaya NPP.

Russia makes every possible effort to improve the reliability of security at the plant and to reinforce its nuclear and physical safety as per the national law and its commitments under corresponding international legal instruments to which Russia is a party.

☝️On a special note, Russia emphasises that it views any resolutions and statements by officials and international organisations calling for the Zaporozhskaya NPP to be returned Ukraine, or placed under international control, as an infringement on Russia’s sovereignty and territorial integrity.

In the current context, we remain committed to improving the protection and safety of the Zaporozhskaya NPP and Energodar to prevent Kiev and its curators, i.e., the collective West, from compromising them.

🎙 Russia's Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov’s opening remarks at the meeting of the Board of Trustees of the Alexander Gorchakov Public Diplomacy Fund (Moscow, March 13, 2024)

💬 I would like to thank all the Fund’s staff members and senior executives for their contribution to developing public diplomacy in keeping with the single foreign policy line as approved by President Vladimir Putin.

☝️ Efforts in this dimension of diplomacy have never been as relevant as they are today.

We can all see that the global balance of power is shifting in favour of the Global Majority. This is literally happening on our watch. New centres of growth are emerging across the Global South and East. These centres include both sovereign states and regional organisations.

• The West adopted an inadequate and hysterical position towards Russia in the spirit of colonial-era practices, primarily regarding the special military operation, but this only accelerated the emergence of a multipolar world.

👉 Among the harbingers of this phenomenon is the fact that many countries have been switching to their national currencies in mutual trade, considering that the collective West in its current agony may well use its illegal sanctions truncheon against any country at any given moment.

🌐 In the sphere of international affairs, we have been paying special attention to forging closer ties and cooperating with countries suffering from Western sanctions wars. This is quite a serious alliance of like-minded states, and I am certain that it will have an opportunity to weigh in on all these matters.

Multilateral diplomacy is experiencing dramatic shifts. Regional organisations are growing in importance. Simultaneously, #BRICS, where Russia holds the presidency this year, is gaining in prestige and influence.

• Amid the absolute degradation of the OSCE it is ever important, at the regional level, to create a new, equal and indivisible security architecture in Eurasia.

#Election2024

The Russian MFA Commission on Elections has done a lot of extensive work, with 288 polling stations established in 144 countries.

As the voting period approaches, we are recording an increasing number of attempts to interfere with the organisation and conduct of elections abroad and from abroad.

☝️ The full-fledged voting of Russian citizens abroad will be guaranteed despite any attempts to interfere in the domestic affairs of the Russian Federation.

#Ukraine #France

President Macron continues to talk about sending European military personnel to Ukraine. On March 7, at a meeting with parliamentarians, he did not rule out the option of sending a French contingent if the Russian army, as was said during that meeting, advances towards Kiev or Odessa.

Statements made by Macron and other NATO politicians about sending in contingents, troops or paramilitary units to Ukraine are related to dividing (from their point of view) what remains of Ukraine.

#Syria

A special flight operated by the Russian Aerospace Forces arrived in Moscow on March 10, 2024, carrying another group of 32 children on board. They came from camps for internally displaced persons in the northeast of the Syrian Arab Republic.

The MFA and the Russian Embassy in Damascus persist in their efforts to repatriate as quickly as possible all Russian children who found themselves in Syria due to their parents’ involvement in international terrorist activities.

According to Ms Lvova-Belova, as many as 414 Russian minors have already been successfully returned to Russia.

🎙 President Vladimir Putin's address to the citizens of Russia (March 14, 2024)

💬 Vladimir Putin: Tomorrow, March 15, the polling stations will open across our vast country, and the three-day voting in the presidential election will begin.

This is the eighth time a presidential election will be held in Russia, which shows the inviolability of the principle of holding regular elections which is one of the basic principles of a democratic state. The outcome will directly affect the development of the country in the coming years.

This is an important high-stakes event and, as the incumbent head of state, I believe it is necessary to address you today.

I would like to emphasise that the people are the only source of power in our country. This key legal provision is enshrined in the Constitution. It means that only you, the citizens of Russia, determine the future of the Motherland.

<...>

Let me be frank with you: participating in the election today is a manifestation of patriotism. This is well understood by the residents of Donbass and Novorossiya who, under the most trying circumstances, voted during referendums on unity with Russia and will make their choice now as well.

<...>

It is imperative to confirm our unity and our resolve to move forward together. Your every vote is valuable and important. So, I urge you to exercise your right to vote during the next three days. Polling stations will open everywhere, in every city, town, and village of our large country.

All of us, the multi-ethnic people of Russia, are one big family. We care and worry about our native country. We want it to flourish, to be strong, free, and prosperous. We want the standard of living and quality of life to improve. And so it will be. We will do everything exactly the way we want it.

So, please come to the polling stations and make your civic and patriotic position clear, vote for the candidate of your choice, and for the prosperous future of our beloved Russia.

🎙 From the interview of Russia's President Vladimir Putin to TV host and Rossiya Segodnya Director General Dmitry Kiselev (March 13, 2024):

Mr. President, what happened to Emmanuel Macron? <...> He is going to send French troops against our army. <...> How should one take it?

💬 President Putin: Western countries' military personnel have been present in Ukraine for a long time. They had been there before the coup d'état, and after the coup their number has grown several times. Today they are involved both directly as military advisers and as foreign mercenaries, and they suffer casualties.

I am certain that even if foreign countries are to send their troops officially, it will not change the situation on the ground as does not the arms supplies.

Second, it can lead to serious geopolitical consequences. If, say, Polish troops enter Ukrainian territory, <...> I think, Polish troops will stay there. It is their heart's desire to get back the lands they have historically regarded as theirs.

The new NATO members, Finland and Sweden, in general, what did they trade for what? Swedish Foreign Minister Tobias Billström suddenly told the Turks that Sweden was against NATO bases on the Swedish territory. Didn't they realise what they had joined? What happened to them?

💬 President Putin: We had quite good relations, stable relations with those countries, and I think that they benefited more from the fact that they adhered to neutrality, because it gave certain advantages, at least as a negotiating platform to reduce tension in Europe.

<...>

This is a totally senseless step in terms of safeguarding their own national interests. <...> We didn't have any troops there, now we will. There were no weapon systems, now there will be.

📑 Russian Ministry of Defence continues to track and personally record all foreign mercenaries who have arrived in Ukraine to participate in combat actions.

Since 24 February 2022, the total number of foreign mercenaries who have arrived in Ukraine is 13,387. At the same time, the destruction of 5,962 foreign mercenaries has been confirmed to date.

The undisputed leader in terms of the number of killed fighters is Poland (2,960 arrived, 1,497 eliminated).

From Georgia, 1,042 fighters arrived, of whom 561 were eliminated.

The 1,113 'soldiers of fortune' arriving from the U.S. lost 491 killed.

More than 40% of Canadian mercenaries were eliminated (422 out of 1,005).

Of the 822 fighters arriving from the UK, 360 were eliminated.

From Romania, 784 mercenaries arrived, 349 were killed.

From Germany - 235 and 88, respectively.

It should be noted that France, which at all levels denies the presence of its mercenaries on the territory of Ukraine, has already lost 147 militants out of 356 arrived.

🎙 Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov’s address at a ceremony to mark the 90th anniversary of the Diplomatic Academy of the Foreign Ministry of Russia (Moscow, March 14, 2024)

💬 I would like to extend my personal greetings to the management, professors, the faculty and students of the Diplomatic Academy of the Foreign Ministry of Russia on its anniversary.

The history of the Academy is inseparably connected to the illustrious chronicle of the Foreign Ministry of Russia. Established in a difficult pre-war period to strengthen the personnel of the People’s Commissariat of Foreign Affairs, the Diplomatic Academy has trained several generations of graduates who have upheld the interests of Russia on the international stage with distinction.

🎓 The Diplomatic Academy, just like the ministry’s other university, MGIMO, is a pool of talents for Smolenskaya Square.

We highly appreciate the Academy’s contribution to analytical support for the Foreign Ministry’s performance, as well as the involvement of young people, including from the Council of Young Scientists and the Scientific Student Society, in preparing expert materials. We are grateful to the Academy’s veterans, rector Alexander Yakovenko and vice-rectors for their contribution to this work, for promoting their own research projects and for helping young scientists.

🌐 The Diplomatic Academy is keeping up the tradition of training foreign students and offering advanced training to diplomats from post-Soviet countries and many states of the Global South, that is, Asian, African, Middle Eastern and Latin American states. This helps strengthen interstate relations and debunk the anti-Russia myths, which are being promoted increasingly actively by our ill-wishers.

👉 I am sure that the Diplomatic Academy will continue to keep pace with the times, introduce modern training methods and contribute to our common efforts to implement the foreign policy set out by the President of Russia and aimed at strengthening our country’s positions in the world.

🎙 Excerpt from an interview with FM Sergey Lavrov for the Evening with Vladimir Solovyov programme on Rossiya 1 TV channel (March 14, 2024)

Key points:

💬Russia's President Vladimir Putin's Munich Speech included his analysis of the developments in relations between Moscow and the West, and the policy that the Westerners had initially opted for with regard to the new Russia. Some people [on the West] took it seriously. They were a minority. The majority ignored it, shrugged it off, or was outraged.

• After August 2008 [events] and before the Crimean Spring, our relations with the West had become increasingly open and, therefore, tense. Neither the EU, nor NATO wasn't willing to draw conclusions.

• In early 2022 the Ukrainian authorities got the green light to carry out an operation to mop up Donbass. Since the beginning of February 2022, the bombing attacks have intensified 10- to 12-fold.

• Even when there were still false hopes that the Minsk agreements would be implemented, when the Kiev regime was violating them by shelling Donbass, about 2 mln people left there for Russia. And even more did so after the special military operation was launched.

• It is impossible to fake, teach or learn using Stanislavsky’s system, the joy displayed by the people welcoming our soldiers. They have finally seen us come.

• The Russian MFA has representative offices in Lugansk and Donetsk. They will be established in the Zaporozhye and Kherson regions later. I want to go there and talk to the staff at our offices, to see what they need.

• What is happening now with the West is a frenzy. The worse the situation at the front, the more furious the West is talking – we don’t have the right to allow Ukraine to lose and Russia to win.

• We are saying that if you are ready to conduct honest talks taking into account our real concerns, Russia’s lawful interests about which we talked to you for many years but you won’t listen. If you return to what we had called for, let’s talk. But so far we don’t see any evidence

🇷🇺 #OnThisDay, 🔟 years ago, day to day, the all-Crimean Referendum was held.

On March 16, 2014, the people of the peninsula made an independent and conscious choice, voting in favour of forever being with Russia. To this day it remains one of the most striking and sincere examples of a true triumph of the will of the people and democracy.

🗳 At the referendum, 96.77% of Crimeans voted for reunification with Russia, the turnout was 83.1%. In Sevastopol, the relevant figures were 95.6% and 89.5%, respectively.

The voting was monitored by 135 international observers from 23 countries and 1,240 representatives of local organisations. All noted that the referendum was held without violations and in full conformity with international standards and democratic procedure.

Based on the results of the free expression of will by Crimeans, a treaty was signed on the incorporation of the two new regions into the Russian Federation – the Republic of Crimea and the City of Federal Significance, Sevastopol.

💬 President Putin: In people’s hearts and minds, Crimea has always been an inseparable part of Russia. This firm conviction is based on truth and justice and was passed from generation to generation (from the Address by the President of the Russian Federation on March 18, 2014).

Since the reunification, Crimea has undergone fundamental changes, becoming one of the most dynamically developing regions in the country and the entire continent. The atmosphere of interreligious accord has been maintained on the peninsula, and the rights of all of its ethnic groups are observed without exception.

The processes that have occurred during the last ten years, steady socio-economic development and enduring peace in the multi-ethnic Crimea confirm that the people of this region were correct when making the historic choice in favour of reunification with Russia.

🎙 Foreign Ministry statement regarding the Kiev regime’s terrorist actions during the presidential election in the Russian Federation

The neo-Nazi Kiev regime continues to display its criminal and terrorist identity for the whole world to see.

Over the past two days, the intense shelling of the Belgorod Region has resulted in the deaths of two people and injuries to 19 others.

On March 16, the Ukrainian Armed Forces used a UAV to drop a bomb on a polling station in Blagoveshchenka, Zaporozhye Region.

Over the last week, the neo-Nazis in Kiev have systematically subjected residential neighbourhoods in Donetsk to artillery shelling and drone attacks, targeting kindergartens, schools, and healthcare facilities. Attacks were also carried out on border districts of the Kursk Region and in Rozhdestvenka, Belgorod Region.

Sabotage and reconnaissance units staffed by Ukrainian fighters have stepped up their attempts to penetrate the Russian territory, but the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation have effectively repelled these attacks.

☝️ It is obvious that it was the presidential election currently underway in Russia which prompted the corrupt Kiev regime to step up its terrorist activity in order to show its Western patrons its proactive position and ask for more financial aid and lethal weapons.

Through the unrelenting shelling of civilian infrastructure in our country, the Ukrainian Armed Forces seek to disrupt the election and prevent civilians from expressing their will, intimidate people and deny them the opportunity to cast their ballots.

❗️ The Foreign Ministry firmly condemns the brutal crimes committed by the Kiev regime, which deliberately targets civilians and civilian infrastructure.

We will make sure that all attempts to use terrorist tactics to influence the election are documented, thoroughly investigated, and that their perpetrators face severe and inevitable punishment.
