🔎 List of international treaties not including the United State

We often draw public attention to the fact that the US regularly violates international law. Washington, even having signed and ratified international treaties, either does not fullfil them, fullfils them selectively or distorts them.

For the past decades, the US has consistently replaced international law with a concept of international “rules-based order” <...> The West is carefully trying to avoid deciphering its rules, as well as questions why they exist if there are thousands of international legal tools that members of the international community have signed and that clearly outline states’ obligations and transparent mechanisms to check their compliance.

👉 To confirm what we have been talking about for many years, we suggest that the public sees the list of international treaties to which the United States is not a party, published on the Foreign Ministry's website and the official websites of Russian diplomatic missions on November 8, 2023.

☝️We believe that many of you will be surprised to see the contents of the list and the true face of the self-proclaimed "beacon" of democracy and "upholder" of international law, as Washington poses itself.

🔹️Just as all previous irrational measures of this kind, yet another round of sanctions by the Trudeau’s cabinet is senseless.

🔹️The attempts to impose restrictions against academics, political scientists, artists, research institutions and media outlets reaffirm the non-democratic nature of the current leadership in Canada.

🔹️These sanctions will have absolutely no practical impact on Russian citizens and organisations. They have never been effective. Such an act is rather a symptom of impotence of the Canadian government in pursuing its russophobic campaign: the officials in Ottawa are running low in ideas on further restrictions targets and now, as we say, are “looking up the names in a phone book”.

☝ Nevertheless, Russia will certainly respond on a reciprocal basis.

Vladimir Putin thanked Abdel Fattah El-Sisi for Egypt's comprehensive assistance in the evacuation of Russian citizens from the Gaza Strip.

The Leaders continued their discussion of the highly aggravated situation in the Palestinian-Israeli conflict zone. Expressing profound concern over the unprecedented rise in casualties among the civilian population, including thousands of children and women, the Leaders underscored the critical importance of promptly halting the bloodshed, releasing hostages and ensuring an unimpeded provision of humanitarian assistance to the civilian population of Gaza.

The Parties noted the alignment of Russia’s and Egypt’s approaches to resolving the situation in the region by establishing an independent Palestinian State, coexisting in peace and security with Israel on a universally recognised international legal basis.

The Leaders of Russia and Egypt will stay in contact.

• The cessation of hostilities and stopping of violence, is of huge importance to the civilians, but in historical terms, in sustainable settlement terms the second aspect of this problem, which is much more important, the creation of the Palestinian state is unavoidable.

• Of course, these days, Washington is highly ideologized. And anything coming from Russia is taken as a hostile act, hostile initiative. But on substance, in practical terms, Washington doesn't want to tie Israel's hands.

• The reform of the United Nations is a must, if only because multipolarity brought to the key positions many new players who are not now represented in the Security Council as permanent members.

💬 Sergey Lavrov: The summit convened by Cairo was the first such event after October 7 and the subsequent developments. It was crucial to demonstrate that the international community will not stand idly by amidst the crisis, but is interested in halting any military action, releasing all hostages, allowing civilians from other countries to leave the area and in ensuring peace and security for the residents of Gaza.

It is essential to recall the situation in the West Bank, where formal war has not been declared, yet it faces Israeli army raids. This does nothing to improve the conditions for the start of a peace process and eventually (after all humanitarian problems have been resolved), direct talks on the creation of a Palestinian state.

🇪🇬 Cairo plays an important role in these processes. Its capabilities as a state and a global player extend beyond the Middle East and the African continent. Egypt is a global player already.

⚡️ Russia's EMERCOM delivers yet another batch of humanitarian aid to those in need in the Gaza Strip.

Aboard the latest plane were 30 tonnes of food supplies and personal care products. The aid was handed over to the Egyptian Red Crescent Society, which will deliver it to the people in the conflict zone.

In total Russia has already shared 190 tonnes of humanitarian aid. More to come.
