As our online presence grows, so does our risk of a data privacy breach. Throughout our day-to-day, we tend to share information about ourselves online and such information is often stored permanently. The data that we thought was secure, can be the subject of a cyberattack.

Some tips to prevent cyberattacks:

♦️Hot spots are convenient, but they are often vulnerable to hacking. If possible, connect using a VPN to protect your data from prying eyes.

♦️When you subscribe to a service, make sure you read the Terms & Conditions regarding data storage.

♦️Enable two-factor authentication (2FA) on every site that offers it.

♦️Hackers can exploit outdated software. Ensure you always have the latest update on your device by allowing automatic updates.

♦️You can avoid phishing emails by verifying the sender's email address and confirming the domain.
