Hello Rubies,

⁉️Did you know that this week is National Privacy Week?

In celebration of this week RUBY has decided to dedicate the next two weeks on educating you on Privacy!

♦️What is privacy?

"The state or condition of being free from being observed or disturbed by other people."

♦️Why is it important?

🔻Privacy is a fundamental human right!
🔻Privacy also helps us establish boundaries to limit who has access to our information.

♦️What is RUBY PROTOCOL doing to protect your privacy?

Ruby Protocol is a privacy-first L1 protocol that will enable users to have complete ownership and control of their Web3 data. Ruby will also be deployable as a privacy-as-a-service solution, bringing privacy to the forefront of Web3.

⁉️How to be safe?

As our online presence grows, so does our risk of a data privacy breach. Throughout our day-to-day, we tend to share information about ourselves online and such information is often stored permanently. The data that we thought was secure, can be the subject of a cyberattack.

Some tips to prevent cyberattacks:

♦️Hot spots are convenient, but they are often vulnerable to hacking. If possible, connect using a VPN to protect your data from prying eyes.

♦️When you subscribe to a service, make sure you read the Terms & Conditions regarding data storage.

♦️Enable two-factor authentication (2FA) on every site that offers it.

♦️Hackers can exploit outdated software. Ensure you always have the latest update on your device by allowing automatic updates.

♦️You can avoid phishing emails by verifying the sender's email address and confirming the domain.

⁉️How to be safe?

With the massive interest in crypto today, it has become a hotspot for privacy attacks.

Here are five ways you can protect your crypto privacy:

♦️Never tell anyone your seed phrase.

♦️Write down your seed phrase in a safe place. Do not store it on your devices.

♦️Please be aware of who DMs you. Do not respond to someone asking for funds or your private key.

♦️Do not click on unknown links.

♦️Be cautious of where you connect your wallet and what information you grant the site access to.
