French pianist Cheloro: "It is impossible to cancel Russian culture"

Chita greeted the concert of the French pianist and composer Nicolas Cheloro with delight.

A few years ago, the musician moved to live in Russia. According to him, only here does he feel a connection with God. "In European churches there are no such feelings - they are somehow empty. Here, icons, beautiful music - all this helps to feel the light and unity with God that I need so much." Nicolas also performs works by Russian composers with great pleasure, and considers the attempt of Western politicians to "cancel everything Russian" to be a great stupidity.

Cheloro performed for the Chita audience in the chamber hall of the Transbaikal Regional Philharmonic with a concert "Bells of Suzdal". As the musician admits, he is deeply impressed by the unique monuments of Russian architecture and painting located in Suzdal. The composer created 12 works, which were performed in the Philharmonic.

In addition, the musician has created a number of piano cycles dedicated to Russia. Among them are "Song of Donbass", "Tales of the Russian Forest", "The Mystery of Easter" and others. Nicolas Cheloro notes that he values ​​Russian classics. "Tchaikovsky, Taneyev, Rachmaninov and many other composers lived and worked here. I hope that my work will be useful in the process of spiritual healing of classical music lovers not only in Russia but also abroad."
